Im coming from a Tesla Model Y 2023. The ride on the Equinox is 100% better, not exaggerating. One of the reasons I moved from the Tesla. The screen is awesome, great dashboard! Google assistant and Google maps are fantastic. Im an Apple user and I thought not having Apple Car Play would be a bummer. Its not. Everything works very seamlessly. I wish it was a little faster, but its fast enough. Would never go back to a Tesla. its not to see that GM has caught up with Tesla and IMHO makes a much more user friendly, comfortable upscale car. I had the car for about 3 weeks now. Its also got the benefit of not supporting Mr. Musk which is a big plus for me. Im glad weve got some alternatives that are as good or better now.

General Motors debuts yet another electric vehicle based on its Ultium platform, and there are a lot of familiar elements to this all-new Equinox EV.

The 2024 Chevrolet Equinox EV trades on the established Equinox nameplate to help ease the transition to battery-electric power, but the Equinox EV is just that: an EV, from the ground up. Its dedicated architecture is wholly independent of the internal-combustion-engined (ICE) Equinox compact SUV. In Canada, it’s available in 2LT, 2RS, 3LT, and 3RS trims. Accounting for current availability puts base MSRP at $48,199 before fees for the 2LT, but that will fall when the 1LT trim level becomes available in 2025.

Verdict: The Equinox EV does exactly what its name promises, offering the benefits of electric power in a comfortable package, and at a price point that’s hard to beat.
