CarGurus Analysis: 2024 Chevrolet Blazer
Summary
With 138 currently listed for sale and an average price of $36,813 CAD, 25.4% of 2024 Chevrolet Blazer listings on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Favourably reviewed: Owners rated the 2024 Chevrolet Blazer 5 / 5 stars.
Why it stands out
The 2024 Chevrolet Blazer stands out because it is a midsize, five-passenger SUV with unibody construction and sporty styling rather than the rugged character associated with the classic Blazer name. It is also well packaged, which helps explain its appeal to buyers who want a practical SUV with a more distinctive look. Standard equipment is generous, including dual-zone climate controls, 18-inch wheels, heated front seats, OnStar, a Wi-Fi hotspot, up to six USB ports, a rear camera, Chevy Safety Assist, push-button start, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto.
What makes the 2024 Chevrolet Blazer especially easy to live with is the breadth of available equipment and powertrains. The base powertrain is a 193-horsepower 2.5-litre inline-four with combined fuel economy of 9.9 L/100 km in front-wheel drive form, while a 308 hp 3.6-litre V6 is also available in front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive versions, with 11.3 L/100 km combined fuel economy when paired with all-wheel drive. A 230 hp 2.0-litre inline-four turbo joined the lineup in 2020, and 2023 brought a mid-cycle refresh with a new grille, headlights, taillamps, wheel designs, and a larger standard 10.25-inch infotainment screen.
There are some trade-offs to keep in mind. The 2024 Chevrolet Blazer’s safety and convenience features are not equally spread across the range, since many of the more advanced items are optional or reserved for upper trims. It also carries a reputation for poor visibility and uncomfortable seats, and its value for money is not one of its strongest points. Even so, for shoppers who want a stylish, modern midsize SUV with a strong feature set, it remains a compelling choice.

How much does the 2024 Chevrolet Blazer cost?
| Metric | Value |
|---|---|
| Current Average Price | $37,165 CAD |
| Year-Round Low | $35,496 CAD |
| Year-Round High | $42,034 CAD |
| Average Price a Year Ago | $42,026 CAD |
| Change vs. Last Year | −11.57% |
Prices have softened 11.57% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.
There are 134 listings available, which gives you a reasonable amount of inventory to compare before you decide.
Is the 2024 Chevrolet Blazer a good car?
Yes — the 2024 Chevrolet Blazer earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner approval. It is a stylish, well-packaged midsize SUV that focuses on sporty design, everyday usability, and a strong standard equipment list. You also get broad appeal from Apple CarPlay and Android Auto across the lineup, plus comfort and technology features that can make it feel more upscale than its price suggests. With 31.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.
Is the 2024 Chevrolet Blazer reliable?
Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
The 2024 Chevrolet Blazer’s appeal comes from its modern packaging, broad connectivity, and available equipment rather than rugged simplicity. For used buyers, that means your long-term ownership risk is more about finding a well-maintained example with the features you want than worrying about a lack of everyday usability.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Chevrolet Blazer?
This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can afford to compare listings carefully rather than rushing.
- Deal availability: 31.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 134 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 11.57% compared with last year.
If you find a listing below $35,496 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2024 Chevrolet Blazer's resale value?
The current average of $37,165 CAD sits slightly below last year's $42,026 CAD.
That price movement suggests the market has become more favourable for buyers, but it also means a future seller may need to price competitively to stand out. The Blazer’s distinctive styling and strong equipment list should help it remain appealing to shoppers who want a sporty midsize SUV with modern tech. If demand stays steady, that can support resale performance even as the broader market softens.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Should I buy a 2024 Chevrolet Blazer or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2024 if:
- 31.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 11.57% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
Consider the 2023 if:
- At $30,961 CAD, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $37,165 CAD average.
- It offers a modern, car-based crossover feel with a stylish design.
The bottom line: Choose the 2024 if you want the newer model-year pricing context and are shopping for a well-equipped, stylish midsize SUV with strong owner satisfaction. If your priority is saving money upfront, the 2023 is the better value path, especially if you find one with the features and condition you want.
