Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 33.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 183 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.77% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $34,937 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport's resale value?

The current average of $34,937 CAD sits slightly below last year's $40,991 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy more carefully today, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays soft. If you plan to sell later, buying near the low end of the range gives you more room to preserve value. Strong demand can still support resale, especially when the vehicle is well kept.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 33.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.77% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $31,249 CAD, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $34,937 CAD average.
• It adds standard digital instrumentation and larger top-trim wheels.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $40,078 CAD, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $34,937 CAD average.
• It brings a significant refresh with more standard features.

The bottom line: The 2023 is the balanced choice if you want strong owner satisfaction and a softer market price. If your priority is spending less, the 2022 is the better value play; if you want the newer refresh, the 2024 is the upgrade path.
