Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Tesla Model Y?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be choosy without expecting deep discounts on every listing.

• Deal availability: 27.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 296 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.78% compared with last year.

What is the 2023 Tesla Model Y's resale value?

The current average of $42,714 CAD sits slightly below last year's $47,345 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can make the vehicle more attractive to you as a buyer today. For a future seller, it means resale values may face some pressure if broader market conditions stay soft. Even so, the model’s strong owner satisfaction and broad appeal should help support demand when it’s time to sell. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.78/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Tesla Model Y or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 27.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.78% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.78/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line:

If you want the best balance of owner satisfaction, current pricing, and available inventory, the 2023 is a strong year to target. If your priority is stretching your budget further, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on the lowest-priced examples, especially if you can find one near the bottom of the current range.
