Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Subaru Crosstrek?

This looks like a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting deep discounts on every listing.

• Deal availability: 28.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 543 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.17% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $25,904 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Subaru Crosstrek's resale value?

The current average of $25,904 CAD sits slightly below last year's $29,492 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy in at a more favourable point, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays soft. For a seller, the current trend suggests you should expect value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and equipment rather than broad market momentum. Well-kept examples should still attract interest because the Crosstrek has a practical reputation and steady shopper demand.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Subaru Crosstrek or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 28.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.17% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $30,215 CAD, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $25,904 CAD average.
• It adds multiple engine options and a new Wilderness trim.

The bottom line: Choose the 2023 if you want the better value and are comfortable with its simpler, proven formula. If you want newer tech and more powertrain choice, the 2024 is the better path, but you will pay more for it. For price-sensitive buyers, the 2023 remains the smarter buy.
