Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Subaru Crosstrek?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 31.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 742 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.98% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $25,455 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Subaru Crosstrek's resale value?

The current average of $25,619 CAD sits slightly below last year's $29,107 CAD.

That decline suggests the market has become more buyer-friendly, which can make future resale a little more competitive if you sell soon. If you buy at the current average or below, you may have less room for appreciation, but you also reduce your upfront exposure. For a future seller, the key is that the Crosstrek’s pricing has already adjusted downward, so holding value will depend more on condition, mileage, and trim appeal.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Subaru Crosstrek or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 31.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.98% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $29,862 CAD, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $25,619 CAD average.
• It adds multiple engine choices and a refreshed tech and safety package.

The bottom line:
Choose the 2023 if you want the better value and a proven formula with strong owner approval. Consider the 2024 if you’re willing to pay more for newer features and broader powertrain choice; if price matters most, the 2023 is the smarter buy.
