The 2023 Kia Seltos is described as a practical small SUV with smooth operation from its base powertrain and a cabin that is thoughtfully packaged for daily use. Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Kia Seltos?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 28.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 637 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.15% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $23,347 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Kia Seltos's resale value?

The current average of $23,362 CAD sits slightly below last year's $26,002 CAD.

That decline suggests the market has become more favourable for buyers, but it also means future sellers may need to price competitively to stand out. If you buy now, the softer pricing could help limit your upfront cost, though resale gains may be more modest if the market stays pressured. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Kia Seltos or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 28.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.15% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $21,256 CAD, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $23,362 CAD average.
• It offers practical everyday usability with a spacious cabin and straightforward technology.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $26,053 CAD, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $23,362 CAD average.
• It adds refreshed styling and updated technology.

The bottom line: The 2023 is the best all-around pick if you want a well-rated, well-priced Seltos with decent deal availability. If your priority is saving money, the 2022 is the smarter value play; if you want newer styling and updated tech, the 2024 is worth the extra spend.
