What is the 2023 Subaru Crosstrek's resale value?

The current average of $25,442 CAD sits slightly below last year's $29,116 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy in at a more favourable point, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays soft. If you plan to sell later, the Crosstrek’s current pricing suggests you should focus on buying well and keeping the vehicle in strong condition. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Subaru Crosstrek or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 27.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.62% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $29,925 CAD, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $25,442 CAD average.
• It adds a refreshed third-generation design with more tech and a Wilderness trim.

The bottom line:
Choose the 2023 if you want the better value and are comfortable with its proven formula. If you want newer tech and a more updated package, the 2024 is the stronger upgrade, but price-sensitive buyers will likely find the 2023 easier to justify.
