Used 2023 Nissan Rogue for Sale nearNorth York, ON

How much does the 2023 Nissan Rogue cost?

Prices have softened 13.79% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,627 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Nissan Rogue a good car?

Generally — the 2023 Nissan Rogue earns a 4.3/5 user rating and a 6.7/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Look and feel at 8/10.

Owners consistently praise its spacious interior, safety features, fuel economy, comfortable ride, and modern technology, especially in higher trims. The test-drive summary also points to its stylish design and standard advanced safety features, which fit well if you want a compact SUV that feels well equipped and easy to live with.

The trade-offs are just as clear: the back seats are uncomfortable, the voice recognition system is weak, and the value proposition is questioned. That means you may like it most if you prioritise style, safety, and everyday comfort over rear-seat comfort and tech polish.

Only 29.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so the market is somewhat selective rather than broadly bargain-heavy.

Is the 2023 Nissan Rogue reliable?

Owners rate it 4.3/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to a dependable-feeling ownership experience, with owners highlighting the Rogue as spacious, safe, fuel-efficient, and comfortable for daily use. The review summary also suggests it can be a vehicle you can count on for modern convenience, especially in higher trims.

The expert drive notes that the VC-Turbo drivetrain feels responsive in urban and suburban driving, and the CVT rarely draws negative attention to itself. Nissan also includes a three-year/60,000-kilometre basic warranty and a five-year/100,000-kilometre powertrain warranty.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that the drivetrain and infotainment complaints could matter more as mileage climbs, especially if you value refinement and trouble-free tech.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Nissan Rogue?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup includes S, SV, SL, and Platinum trim levels, and the base S FWD is the least expensive entry point. The SV gains the new Midnight Edition package, which blacks out the exterior trim, while the Platinum adds a long list of upscale upgrades and soft, supple leather seats. The base trim is the one most likely to leave you without some of the richer equipment you may want.
• Powertrain: The Rogue uses a turbocharged 1.5-litre three-cylinder engine with a CVT, and AWD is standard on all but the base trim in Canada. It offers Eco, Auto, and Sport driving modes, while AWD versions add Off-Road and Snow modes. The drivetrain feels responsive around town, but it lacks passing power on the highway.
• Safety package: Safety Shield 360 is standard and includes forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, rear automatic braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, and automatic high-beam headlights. Higher trims can add ProPilot Assist with Navi-link, plus surround-view camera, active blind-spot monitoring, lane-keeping assist, and a driver monitoring system.
• Infotainment: The Rogue uses an older infotainment system with a standard 8-inch or available 9-inch touchscreen. The larger screen can be paired with wireless Apple CarPlay, wired Android Auto, NissanConnect services, a Wi-Fi hotspot, navigation, a wireless charging pad, and a Bose premium audio system.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada says the test vehicle should have returned 7.7 L/100 km in combined driving, and the evaluation loop averaged 8.1 L/100 km.

Which 2023 Nissan Rogue trim should I buy?

The 2023 Nissan Rogue is offered in 4 trim levels: S, SV, SL, and Platinum.

Here's the short version:

• S: This is the entry point, and it makes sense if you want the Rogue’s core style and safety without stretching for extras. It is the trim most likely to feel basic compared with the better-equipped versions.
• SV: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it unlocks the Midnight Edition package and sits in the middle of the range without jumping to luxury pricing.
• SL: Choose this if you want a more upscale feel and more available technology and convenience features without going all the way to the top.
• Platinum: This is the trim for you if you want the most upscale Rogue experience, including the richest interior materials and the longest equipment list.

Higher trim levels can also add ProPilot Assist with Navi-link, which is the key safety-package upgrade to watch for.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Nissan Rogue?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you should be able to shop with some leverage if you compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 29.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,627 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.79% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $26,266 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Nissan Rogue's resale value?

The current average of $26,266 CAD sits slightly below last year's $30,468 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Rogue has become more accessible for used buyers, but it also means a future seller may face a softer market than owners saw a year ago. If you buy near the current average, you may have less room for appreciation if prices stay under pressure. On the other hand, the Rogue’s broad appeal and strong owner satisfaction can help support demand when you eventually resell.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.3/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Nissan Rogue safe?

The 2023 Nissan Rogue earns a Top Safety Pick+ from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) and a five-star overall rating from NHTSA, though it gets four stars each for the driver and front passenger in a frontal-impact collision.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Safety Shield 360 is standard, and it includes forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, rear automatic braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, and automatic high-beam headlights. Higher trims can add ProPilot Assist with Navi-link, which combines adaptive cruise control with lane-centring assistance, plus available surround-view camera, active blind-spot monitoring, lane-keeping assist, and a driver monitoring system.

One caveat is that updated IIHS testing produced Marginal and Acceptable scores in the small overlap frontal-impact and side-impact tests, respectively.

Should I buy a 2023 Nissan Rogue or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 29.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.79% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.3/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• It adds a new Midnight Edition package on the SV trim and keeps standard advanced safety features.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $22,271 CAD, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $26,266 CAD average.
• It brings an updated powertrain and strong fuel efficiency.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $27,104 CAD, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $26,266 CAD average.
• It adds refreshed styling and Google built-in apps.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, safety, and style, the 2023 is the sensible default. If your priority is lower purchase cost, the 2022 is the value play; if you want newer tech, the 2024 is the upgrade path.
