Is the 2023 Nissan Kicks a good car?

Yes — 4.7/5 is a strong user rating for this model year. Drivers consistently praise its spaciousness, advanced safety features, and fuel efficiency, and those strengths line up well with its role as a practical, value-focused subcompact SUV. If you want an economical small SUV that is easy to live with and well equipped for the money, the 2023 Kicks fits that brief. With 30.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is also meaningful market availability for shoppers who want to compare value.

Is the 2023 Nissan Kicks reliable?

The user feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with drivers highlighting its value, fuel efficiency, and everyday usability. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about complexity and more about accepting its modest performance and compact footprint.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Nissan Kicks?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 30.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,022 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.67% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $20,681 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Nissan Kicks's resale value?

The current average of $20,681 CAD sits slightly below last year's $23,413 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can be helpful if you are buying now but may temper what you recover later as a seller. If you plan to resell in a few years, the current softness means your future return will depend heavily on how well the vehicle is maintained and how competitively it is priced at trade-in time. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Nissan Kicks or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 30.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.67% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2023 if you want the strongest mix of current pricing, buyer satisfaction, and inventory in this generation. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby model year may still make sense, but the 2023 is the better all-around pick when you want a well-supported used-market choice with plenty of listings to compare.
