Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Nissan Kicks?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 30.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you a reasonable pool of value-oriented choices.
• Inventory: There are 1,015 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.64% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $20,696 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Nissan Kicks' resale value?

The current average of $20,696 CAD sits slightly below last year's $23,423 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy in at a more favourable point, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays soft. For a seller, the current trend suggests you should expect value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and equipment rather than broad market appreciation. The good news is that a model with steady owner approval can still attract buyers when it is priced well.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Nissan Kicks or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 30.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.64% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2023 is the right pick if you want a value-focused small SUV with strong owner approval and a market that still offers some deal potential. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may also want to compare nearby model years to see whether a lower asking price outweighs the 2023’s stronger satisfaction signal and current market positioning.
