Used 2023 Nissan Altima for Sale nearMontréal-ouest, QC

How much does the 2023 Nissan Altima cost?

Prices have softened 13.26% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 89 listings available, which suggests you have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Nissan Altima a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Nissan Altima earns a 5/5 user rating and a 6.7/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Technology at 9/10.

Owners commonly praise its impressive fuel economy, responsive driving experience, and quality audio system. It also fits well if you want a practical family sedan with standard all-wheel drive and everyday usability rather than SUV bulk.

The trade-offs are that performance is fairly pedestrian and the interior materials feel cheap. For shoppers who prioritise comfort, efficiency, and practicality, it makes a strong case; if you want refinement or excitement, you may want to look elsewhere.

The market also looks reasonably favourable, with 34.8% of listings marked as good or great deals.

Is the 2023 Nissan Altima reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owners describe it as cost-effective and praise its dependable, trouble-free feel, especially for everyday use. The user feedback also points to a car you can count on for efficient commuting and straightforward ownership.

Nissan’s CVT is described as a good one, and the engine/transmission pairing is presented as a solid, familiar setup. The Altima’s standard equipment and value-oriented positioning also support confidence in day-to-day dependability.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about outright reliability and more about whether the car’s modest refinement and driving character will still suit you over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Nissan Altima?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Canadian lineup includes S, SR trim, SR Premium, and Platinum. The higher trims add more visual presence, while the base version is the one most likely to leave you without some of the nicer convenience and tech upgrades.
• Powertrain: Every Canadian Altima uses a 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine with a CVT and standard AWD. The setup is tuned for easy driving and decent efficiency rather than strong acceleration.
• Safety package: Nissan Safety Shield 360 is standard and includes forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, a driver monitoring system, rear-seat reminder, Easy Fill Tire Alert, rear automatic braking, and automatic high-beam headlights. ProPilot Assist is included on SR Premium and Platinum, so lower trims miss that highway-driving aid.
• Infotainment: The standard setup is an 8-inch touchscreen with Bluetooth, wired Apple CarPlay, wired Android Auto, and SiriusXM with 360L. The 12.3-inch touchscreen is standard on SR Premium and Platinum and adds wireless Apple CarPlay, navigation, and wireless charging.
• Fuel efficiency: Official Natural Resources Canada fuel economy ratings come in at 9.1 L/100 km city, 6.5 L/100 km highway, and 7.9 L/100 km combined in the base trim, or 9.3 L/100 km city, 6.7 L/100 km highway, and 8.1 L/100 km combined for the SR, SR Premium, and Platinum.

Which 2023 Nissan Altima trim should I buy?

The 2023 Nissan Altima is offered in 4 trim levels: S, SR trim, SR Premium, and Platinum.

Here's the short version:

• S: This is the value play if you want the Altima’s standard AWD, core safety tech, and basic infotainment without paying for extras.
• SR trim: This is the sportier-looking step up, and it suits you if you want a little more style without jumping too far up the price ladder.
• SR Premium: This is the best-value trim if you want the bigger 12.3-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless charging, and ProPilot Assist.
• Platinum: Choose this if you want the most upscale Altima experience, including the surround-view camera system and the fullest tech and convenience package.

Nissan Safety Shield 360 is standard across the lineup, while ProPilot Assist is reserved for SR Premium and Platinum.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Nissan Altima?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 34.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 89 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.26% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $22,726 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Nissan Altima's resale value?

The current average of $23,113 CAD sits slightly below last year's $26,646 CAD.

That price decline suggests the market has become more buyer-friendly, which can make the Altima easier to purchase now but may also limit near-term upside for a future seller. If you buy at the right price, you may have less depreciation left to absorb than someone who bought when prices were higher. The model’s broad appeal as a practical, well-equipped sedan should still help support demand.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Nissan Altima safe?

The 2023 Altima earns a five-star overall rating from NHTSA and a five-star rollover resistance rating, though it receives a four-star rating for front passenger frontal impact safety. The 2023 Altima earns a Top Safety Pick+ from IIHS, but it receives a Poor rating in the updated IIHS side-impact test.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Nissan Safety Shield 360 is standard and includes forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, a driver monitoring system, rear-seat reminder, Easy Fill Tire Alert, rear automatic braking, and automatic high-beam headlights. ProPilot Assist is standard on SR Premium and Platinum, adding adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and lane-centring assist.

The main caveat is the Poor IIHS side-impact result, which is worth weighing if crash protection is a top priority for you.

Should I buy a 2023 Nissan Altima or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 34.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.26% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It combines standard AWD, strong safety tech, and a shrinking-sedan-market advantage.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $22,656 CAD, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $23,113 CAD average.
• It offers standard AWD in a three-trim lineup.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $25,666 CAD, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $23,113 CAD average.
• It adds an upgraded touchscreen and keeps the Altima’s practical, well-equipped formula.

The bottom line: The 2023 is the best all-around pick if you want the strongest mix of value, standard AWD, and safety tech. If your priority is saving money, the 2022 is the better price-first alternative.
