Used 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLE for Sale near British Columbia

How much does the 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLE cost?

Prices have softened 14.69% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 259 listings available, which gives you a decent amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLE a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLE earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.7/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Performance, Form and function, Technology, and Safety.

It stands out as a midsize luxury SUV that blends prestige, performance and practicality, with a high-quality interior and top-rate technology. The ride quality is a major strength, and the handling is agile enough to keep it engaging without giving up comfort.

The trade-offs are that AMG models are thirsty and expensive, and options can quickly push the price upward. Even so, the GLE’s mix of comfort, technology and versatility makes it a strong fit if you want a luxury SUV that can handle daily use and longer trips.

With 37.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, there’s a meaningful share of attractive inventory to consider.

Is the 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLE reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The GLE is presented as a well-rounded luxury SUV with a cabin built to last, and its overall package leans heavily on comfort, technology and versatility. The expert test drive also highlights smooth power delivery, a quiet cabin and a suspension that stays composed over rough pavement.

Its powertrain and hybrid operation are described as seamless, and the regenerative braking is the main minor complaint rather than a major durability concern. For used buyers, the bigger long-term risk is more likely to come from higher running costs and option-heavy examples than from the core vehicle itself.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLE?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The cabin quality is a major draw, but the base setup may leave you wanting more of the richer materials and equipment that help define the GLE’s luxury appeal.
• Powertrain: You’ll want to decide whether you prefer the standard turbocharged four-cylinder or the plug-in hybrid setup, since the hybrid adds electric driving and strong all-round performance.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes blind-spot monitoring, automatic emergency braking, rear cross-traffic alert, pedestrian detection, hands-free park assist, rain-sensing wipers, automatic high-beam headlights, and a driver attention monitor. Active blind-spot assist, active lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability, traffic sign recognition, active lane change assist, and evasive steering assist are optional.
• Infotainment: Look for the dual 12.3-inch screens, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and the improved voice command system. The optional head-up display and augmented reality navigation add convenience.
• Fuel efficiency: The plug-in hybrid is rated at 4.1 litres-equivalent per 100 kilometres, or 10.5 L/100 km city, 9.1 L/100 km highway, and 9.9 L/100 km combined in hybrid mode.

Which 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLE trim should I buy?

The 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLE is offered in 5 trim levels: GLE 350 4Matic, GLE 450 4Matic, AMG GLE 53 4Matic+, GLE 450e 4Matic, and GLE 450e PHEV.

Here's the short version:

• GLE 350 4Matic: This is the value-minded choice if you want the GLE experience without stretching into the pricier models. It gives you the core luxury-SUV formula and is the trim the cost-effectiveness commentary points to as the sensible starting point.
• GLE 450 4Matic: This is the step-up choice if you want more power and a broader luxury feel without jumping all the way to AMG pricing.
• AMG GLE 53 4Matic+: Choose this if you want the performance-focused version and are comfortable paying for it. The trade-off is clear: it is the most expensive path and the expert notes that AMG models are thirsty and expensive.
• GLE 450e 4Matic: This is the best-value trim if you want the strongest blend of acceleration, suspension tuning, handling and fuel economy. It also adds electrified driving, and the expert commentary treats it as the sweet spot in the range.
• GLE 450e PHEV: If you want the plug-in hybrid experience specifically, this is the electrified version to target. It suits you best if short trips and quieter driving matter, while still keeping the GLE’s luxury character.

The safety package is broad, but several driver-assistance features remain optional rather than standard.

The current average of $67,929 CAD sits slightly below last year's $79,623 CAD.

That drop suggests the market has become more favourable for buyers, but it also means sellers may need to price more competitively to stand out. If you own one, a well-kept example with desirable equipment should still attract attention, especially because the GLE’s luxury positioning and strong feature content remain appealing.

Should I buy a 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLE or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 37.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.69% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• A subtle refresh keeps it competitive, while the plug-in hybrid adds electrified driving to the lineup.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $60,451 CAD, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $67,929 CAD average.
• It stands out as a low-roofed SUV coupe with a more distinctive, style-led presence.

The bottom line: Choose the 2023 if you want the broader appeal of the refreshed GLE with stronger market availability and a more modern feature set. If your priority is saving money and you like the coupe-style body, the 2022 is the better value path.
