Used 2023 Mazda CX-30 for Sale nearMississauga, ON

How much does the 2023 Mazda CX-30 cost?

Prices have softened 4.34% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 362 listings available, which suggests a healthy amount of inventory for you to compare.

Is the 2023 Mazda CX-30 a good car?

Yes — 5/5 from owners and 6.7/10 from our experts. The standout strength is Look and feel at 9/10.

The 2023 Mazda CX-30 stands out as a small crossover that leans hard into its compact footprint, with an attractive design, a classy and high-quality interior, and driving manners that are more enjoyable than many buyers expect from a subcompact SUV. It also earns praise for its safety ratings, which adds to its everyday appeal.

The trade-offs are clear: rear-seat space is cramped and cargo room is limited, so it is not the most practical choice if passenger comfort or load space is a priority. The infotainment system is also a weak point, which may matter if you want a more polished tech experience.

With 30.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2023 Mazda CX-30 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The CX-30’s appeal is reinforced by its upscale cabin, enjoyable driving dynamics, and strong safety reputation. Its standard all-wheel drive and refined road manners also support the impression of a well-engineered small crossover.

The powertrains are described as robust and the vehicle is presented as rewarding to drive, which points to a model that should feel solid in everyday use. Mazda also positions the CX-30 as a premium offering, which usually means you should pay attention to maintenance history and overall condition when shopping used.

If you buy one, the main long-term ownership risk is that the cramped rear seat, limited cargo space, and fussy infotainment system may remain daily annoyances rather than wear-and-tear issues.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Mazda CX-30?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The GX is the entry point, but the GS adds important safety equipment, while the GT and GT Turbo bring more upscale features and a more premium feel. The base trim leaves you with fewer standard driver-assistance features than the higher grades.
• Powertrain: The GX uses a 2.0-litre inline four-cylinder engine, while the GS and GT move to a 2.5-litre four-cylinder. The GT Turbo adds a turbocharged 2.5-litre engine for stronger acceleration.
• Safety package: Mazda’s safety suite includes adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and automatic high-beam headlights on the GS and above. The GX gets blind spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert, but not the full suite.
• Infotainment: You get an 8.8-inch display, Bluetooth, HD Radio, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, two USB ports, and connected services. The system does not have a touchscreen, and the interface can be distracting to use.
• Fuel efficiency: The 2.5-litre engine improved to 8.2 L/100 km combined, down from 8.9 L/100 km combined the year before. The GT Turbo can use regular fuel, though premium unlocks its full output.

Which 2023 Mazda CX-30 trim should I buy?

The 2023 Mazda CX-30 is offered in 4 trim levels: GX, GS, GT, and GT Turbo.

Here's the short version:

• GX: This is the entry trim, but it is the least compelling choice if you want the CX-30’s best mix of safety and value. It gives you the core AWD package and the model’s upscale design, but you miss several important driver-assistance features that arrive higher up the range.
• GS: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers. It adds the key safety equipment you are most likely to want, while keeping the CX-30’s premium interior feel and enjoyable driving character at a more reasonable price point.
• GT: Choose this if you want a more upscale experience and extra convenience features. It builds on the GS with more advanced equipment and is a strong fit if you want the CX-30 to feel more premium without stepping all the way to the turbo model.
• GT Turbo: This is the performance-oriented choice, with stronger acceleration and more advanced tech. It makes sense if you want the quickest CX-30 and are willing to pay for it, but it is harder to justify on value alone.

The GS and higher trims are the ones that unlock the most important safety package features.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Mazda CX-30?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 30.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 362 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.34% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $27,790 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Mazda CX-30's resale value?

The current average of $27,790 CAD sits slightly below last year's $29,052 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests buyers have a bit more leverage today than they did a year ago. If you are planning to sell later, you should expect the CX-30 to remain competitive, but not immune to broader market pressure.

Its premium positioning and strong safety reputation should help support demand, especially for well-kept examples with desirable equipment. The best-trimmed versions may hold appeal with shoppers who want a small SUV that feels more upscale than many rivals.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Mazda CX-30 safe?

The Mazda CX-30 earns a Top Safety Pick rating from the IIHS.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Mazda improves the SUV’s side-impact crash protection this year with standard rear side airbags, outboard rear seatbelt tensioners, and other updates. The result is a strong safety package for a small crossover.

On the GX grade, blind spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are included. You need to move up to the GS trim to get adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and automatic high-beam headlights.

The GT and GT Turbo add an adaptive front lighting system, a surround-view camera, front and rear parking sensors, automatic rear braking, traffic sign recognition, traffic jam assist, and a head-up display. That makes the higher trims especially appealing if safety tech matters to you.

Should I buy a 2023 Mazda CX-30 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 30.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.34% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It combines strong safety, a premium cabin, and enjoyable driving dynamics.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $24,974 CAD, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $27,790 CAD average.
• It offers a more upscale feel than many rivals.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $29,160 CAD, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $27,790 CAD average.
• It adds a larger infotainment screen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The bottom line: The 2023 is the sweet spot if you want the CX-30’s safety, style, and driving enjoyment without paying newer-model pricing. If your priority is saving money, the 2022 is the better value play; if you want newer tech, the 2024 is the better upgrade path.
