Is the 2023 Lexus NX a good car?

Yes — 5/5 is a strong user rating for the 2023 Lexus NX, and it lines up with the model’s appeal as a premium compact SUV with distinctive styling and a luxury feel. It also offers a broad powertrain range, standard all-wheel drive in Canada, and a cabin that leans more minimalist and modern than before. For you, that means it makes the most sense if you value efficiency, comfort, and a polished ownership experience more than outright driving excitement or maximum practicality.

The 2023 Lexus NX is described as having a strong reputation for reliability, and that reputation is one of its main selling points. Its appeal is especially strong if you want a premium SUV that prioritises dependability, efficiency in hybrid form, and a well-rounded ownership experience. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about basic reliability and more about choosing the right trim and option package so you do not overpay for features you may not need.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Lexus NX?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on well-priced examples.

• Deal availability: 30.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 192 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.32% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $43,327 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Lexus NX's resale value?

The current average of $43,952 CAD sits slightly below last year's $45,935 CAD.

That price movement suggests the 2023 NX has already given up some value, which can be good news if you are buying now and less ideal if you are planning to sell soon. For a future seller, the softer market means you may need to price competitively to stand out, especially if similar listings remain plentiful. The upside is that the NX’s premium positioning and strong reputation can help support demand when it is time to move on.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Lexus NX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 30.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.32% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $41,536 CAD, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $43,952 CAD average.
• The redesign brings a more modern, tech-forward feel.

The bottom line: Choose the 2023 if you want the current-year NX at a softer price point and with enough inventory to compare options carefully. If your priority is saving money first, the 2022 is the better value play, especially if you find one with the equipment you want at a lower asking price.
