There are 612 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Kia Seltos a good car?

Yes — 4.7/5 is a strong user rating for this model year, and the 2023 Kia Seltos backs that up with a roomy cabin, a more substantial feel than its footprint suggests, and a surprisingly premium interior for the price. It also offers generous passenger and cargo space, plus a broad range of available features that make it appealing if you want a practical small crossover with a bit more personality. 30.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Kia Seltos reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2023 Kia Seltos is described as a polished small crossover with a high-quality cabin and refined driving dynamics, but buyers should still pay attention to known concerns around the 2.0-litre engine and IVT transmission in earlier model years. You should also confirm that any relevant recall work has been completed before you commit to a used example.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Kia Seltos?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay patient.

• Deal availability: 30.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 612 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.41% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $23,436 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Kia Seltos's resale value?

The current average of $23,437 CAD sits slightly below last year's $26,455 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can make the Seltos easier to buy now but may also limit short-term upside for a future seller. If you plan to resell later, the current softness means your return will depend more on condition, mileage, and equipment than on broad market momentum. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Kia Seltos or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 30.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.41% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $21,159 CAD, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $23,437 CAD average.
• It offers practical space, easy-to-use tech, and a strong warranty.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $26,144 CAD, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $23,437 CAD average.
• It adds fresher styling and updated technology.

The bottom line: The 2023 is the best all-around pick if you want a well-equipped, roomy Seltos at a softer price than the newer model. If you are more price-sensitive, the 2022 is the value play, while the 2024 makes sense if you want the updated tech and are willing to pay more.
