Used 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L for Sale nearSaskatoon, SK

How much does the 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L cost?

Prices have softened 12.77% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 305 listings available, which suggests you have a workable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L earns a 4.83/5 user rating and an 8.17/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, Technology, and Safety.

Owners consistently praise its stylish design, spaciousness, and comfortable features, and they also frequently highlight its engine performance and towing capability. In use, that lines up well with the Grand Cherokee L’s family-friendly three-row layout and more premium feel than many mainstream rivals.

The trade-offs are clear: the base engine is underwhelming, and the transmission can be irritating. Even so, if you want a three-row SUV with a more upscale personality and strong everyday comfort, this model fits that brief well.

Only 29.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so the market still rewards shoppers who move quickly on well-priced examples.

Is the 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L reliable?

Owners rate it 4.83/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to a vehicle that feels dependable in daily use, with owners repeatedly describing it as comfortable, stylish, and solid for family duty. The same feedback also suggests it’s a model you can count on for spaciousness and useful capability over time.

The expert drive notes reinforce that impression by describing the chassis as solid and stiff, which supports confident handling and a composed feel on the road. Jeep also positions the Grand Cherokee L as a good value at both the low and high ends of the range, which helps the ownership case.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that the base powertrain may feel less satisfying than the rest of the vehicle.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lower trims get the simpler 8.4-inch touchscreen and 10-inch digital instrument panel, while Limited, Overland, Summit, and Summit Reserve move to a 10.1-inch touchscreen and full-screen maps on the instrument panel. The upper trims also bring a more premium cabin presentation, and the Summit Reserve is the most lavish version.
• Powertrain: The standard 3.6-litre Pentastar V6 makes 293 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque, while the optional 5.7-litre Hemi V8 makes 357 horsepower and 390 pound-feet. The V8 is the better choice if you tow, and the V6 is the efficiency-focused option.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes forward emergency braking, rear park assist and emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, and front knee airbags. Front cross-traffic braking, a backup camera washer, and 360-degree cameras are optional on Limited and Overland, while night vision is limited to Summit and Summit Reserve.
• Infotainment: Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard on all trim levels. The lower trims use an 8.4-inch touchscreen, while Limited and above get a 10.1-inch screen, and Uconnect 5 is the operating system throughout.
• Fuel efficiency: The V6 is rated at 13.0 L/100 km city, 9.4 highway, and 11.3 combined, while the V8 is rated at 16.7 L/100 km city, 10.9 highway, and 14.1 combined.

Which 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L trim should I buy?

The 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L is offered in 6 trim levels: Laredo, Altitude, Limited, Overland, Summit, and Summit Reserve.

Here's the short version:

• Laredo: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core Grand Cherokee L experience with the 8.4-inch touchscreen, 10-inch digital instrument panel, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and standard 4WD. It makes sense if you want the least expensive way into the three-row Jeep formula.
• Altitude: Choose this if you want a little more style without jumping too far up the price ladder. It keeps the same basic tech setup as the Laredo but adds a more distinctive appearance and is a sensible step up for shoppers who care about presentation.
• Limited: This is the best-value trim for many buyers because it adds the 10.1-inch touchscreen and navigation, while also unlocking more available safety and convenience equipment. If you want the sweet spot between price and features, this is the one to target.
• Overland: Move here if you want a more upscale feel and more available equipment without going all the way to the top. It builds on the Limited with a richer feature set and is a good fit if you want luxury-leaning comfort.
• Summit: This trim is for buyers who want the premium cabin experience and access to higher-end tech such as night vision. It suits you if you value comfort and advanced features more than value.
• Summit Reserve: This is the most luxurious version, and it’s the one to buy if you want the most polished interior and the fullest feature set. It’s the right pick if you’re shopping with your heart and want the top expression of the model.

The safety package is strong across the range, but some advanced features remain trim-dependent, so check carefully before you buy.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers: there’s enough inventory to shop around, but the best-priced examples still deserve quick attention.

• Deal availability: 29.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 305 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.77% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $40,868 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L's resale value?

The current average of $41,082 CAD sits slightly below last year's $47,096 CAD.

That drop suggests the market has become more favourable for buyers, but it also means future sellers may need to price competitively to stand out. If you buy well now, you may have less downside risk than someone who paid closer to last year’s higher average.

The good news for resale is that the Grand Cherokee L still has broad appeal: it offers three-row practicality, a premium feel, and Jeep branding that many shoppers actively seek out. Those traits should help support demand when it’s time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.83/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L safe?

The 2023 Grand Cherokee L scored a Top Safety Pick+ from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, but only for models built after May 2023, and it earned five-star ratings in every National Highway Traffic Safety Administration test except rollover, where it scored four-star.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes forward emergency braking, rear park assist and emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, and front knee airbags. Front cross-traffic braking, a backup camera washer, and 360-degree cameras are optional on Limited and Overland trims, while night vision is reserved for Summit and Summit Reserve.

One important caveat is the build-date split for the Top Safety Pick+ result, so you should verify the VIN and door-jamb label before buying.

Should I buy a 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 29.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.77% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.83/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2023 stands out for its strong handling, great ride quality, and premium interior materials.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $36,447 CAD, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $41,082 CAD average.
• It offers a polished, premium-feeling three-row SUV with strong owner praise for space and luxury features.

The bottom line: If you want the better-supported shopping environment and a model year with strong satisfaction and softened pricing, the 2023 is the better default choice. If your priority is saving money upfront, the 2022 is the smarter path, especially if you find one with the right equipment and condition.
