Is the 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L a good car?

Yes — the 4.89/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise the comfortable ride, spacious cabin, and high-tech features, while many also like the handling, snow performance, and family-friendly value. For you, that makes sense if you want a three-row SUV that feels more upscale than many mainstream family haulers and still keeps Jeep character. With 33.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is also enough market activity to help you shop selectively.

Is the 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L reliable?

Owners rate it 4.89/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The review summary also points to a dependable ownership experience, with drivers highlighting comfort, space, and features they can count on day to day. That kind of feedback suggests the vehicle has earned trust over time, especially for families who want a long-term SUV rather than a short-term compromise. For used buyers, the main risk is less about broad owner dissatisfaction and more about making sure the specific example you choose has been maintained properly.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 33.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 151 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.21% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $34,912 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L's resale value?

The current average of $34,913 CAD sits slightly below last year's $41,665 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer today but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you buy at the current average, your future resale value will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and equipment. A lower entry price can soften depreciation pressure, but you should still expect the market to reward clean, well-kept examples more than average ones.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.89/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 33.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.21% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.89/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $36,447 CAD, the 2022 costs more than the current year's $34,913 CAD average.
• It feels more polished and luxury-focused.

The bottom line: Choose the 2021 if you want the better value and are comfortable shopping the used market for a well-equipped three-row SUV. If you want a slightly more refined feel and can stretch your budget, the 2022 is the better secondary path.
