Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Hyundai Tucson?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on standout listings.

• Deal availability: 29.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 508 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.92% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $26,307 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Hyundai Tucson's resale value?

The current average of $26,307 CAD sits slightly below last year's $30,919 CAD.

That softer pricing can be helpful if you buy now, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited unless the market tightens again. If you plan to sell later, the Tucson’s broad appeal and strong feature content should help it stay competitive with other compact SUVs. The current deal mix also suggests buyers are still comparing value closely, which can keep resale pricing disciplined.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Hyundai Tucson or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 29.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.92% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $22,832 CAD, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $26,307 CAD average.
• It offers a roomy, high-tech redesign with strong everyday practicality.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $29,138 CAD, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $26,307 CAD average.
• It adds a more polished all-purpose feel with strong tech and safety appeal.

The bottom line: The 2023 is the best all-around pick if you want strong owner satisfaction and a market that still offers decent deal potential. If your priority is spending less, the 2022 is the better value path; if you want a newer-feeling alternative and can stretch your budget, the 2024 is worth a look.
