Is the 2023 Hyundai Tucson a good car?

Yes — owners rate it 5/5, and that lines up with the Tucson’s strong appeal for value, technology, and everyday usability. Owners consistently praise the smooth driving experience, the modern and feature-rich interior, and the overall value for money. That makes it a strong fit if you want a compact SUV that feels well equipped without pushing you into a larger vehicle. Is the 2023 Hyundai Tucson reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with buyers especially appreciating how well the Tucson delivers on daily use. The repeated praise for its smooth driving character and overall value suggests this is a vehicle many owners feel they can count on over the long term. For used buyers, that usually means lower perceived ownership risk, especially if the service history is clean and the vehicle has been maintained properly.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Hyundai Tucson?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be patient and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 29.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 527 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.75% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $26,259 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Hyundai Tucson's resale value?

The current average of $26,260 CAD sits slightly below last year's $30,448 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Tucson has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can be helpful if you are buying now and planning to sell later. A lower entry price can reduce the amount of value you lose over your ownership period. The Tucson’s broad appeal should help support demand, especially among shoppers who want a practical, well-equipped compact SUV. If market conditions stay steady, that combination can make resale performance more predictable.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Hyundai Tucson or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 29.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.75% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $22,812 CAD, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $26,260 CAD average.
• It offers a roomier redesign with more cargo and passenger space.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $28,958 CAD, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $26,260 CAD average.
• It adds a more refined, well-rounded balance of space, safety, and value.

The bottom line: If you want the best mix of price, owner satisfaction, and current market softness, the 2023 is the strongest all-around pick. If your priority is spending less, the 2022 is the better value play, while the 2024 makes sense if you want to pay more for a newer model year.
