Is the 2023 Honda Odyssey a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Honda Odyssey earns a 4.8/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its spaciousness and comfort, especially for families and cargo hauling, and they also value the flexible second-row seating and the many safety features. For you, that makes it a strong fit if you want a practical family minivan that is easy to live with day to day. With 33.2% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Honda Odyssey reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback also highlights the Odyssey as spacious, comfortable, and dependable for family use, with owners appreciating its trouble-free practicality and the confidence that comes from its safety equipment. That said, used buyers should still pay close attention to maintenance records and a thorough test drive, since long-term ownership risk is best managed by checking for signs of past electrical, infotainment, or transmission concerns.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Honda Odyssey?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile opportunities.

• Deal availability: 33.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 205 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.65% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $41,853 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Honda Odyssey's resale value?

The current average of $42,254 CAD sits slightly below last year's $47,826 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer today but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you buy at the right price, you reduce the risk of taking a bigger depreciation hit later. Strong family appeal and broad usefulness can help support demand, but the softer pricing trend means future sellers may need to stay competitive.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Honda Odyssey or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 33.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.65% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $37,797 CAD, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $42,254 CAD average.
• It offers a familiar, enjoyable driving feel with a light, responsive character.

The bottom line: Choose the 2023 if you want the stronger current-market balance of price, inventory, and owner satisfaction. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2022 is the better value play, especially if you find one with a solid maintenance history.
