How much does the 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E cost?

Prices have softened 6.23% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

Is the 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E a good car?

Yes — it earns a 5/5 user rating and an 8.5/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, and Safety.

Owners consistently praise its impressive performance, stylish design, and advanced technology. They also appreciate the all-wheel-drive capability and quiet, smooth ride.

The main trade-offs are its high price and the desire for improved range and quicker access to some features. For you, that means the Mach-E makes the most sense if you want an electric crossover that feels polished, modern, and engaging rather than purely practical.

With 25.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owners describe it as dependable and trouble-free, with strong confidence in its long-term appeal. The expert evaluation also points to a vehicle that feels well sorted and capable in everyday use, which supports the impression that it should be easy to count on.

Ford’s hands-free highway system and other advanced features add to the sense of modern dependability, and the vehicle’s overall engineering suggests solid long-term ownership prospects. For used buyers, the main risk is less about basic reliability and more about making sure the battery, software, and advanced driver-assistance features are working as intended.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base Select trim misses some of the nicer touches, while Premium adds more comfort and convenience equipment. The GT stands apart with a more aggressive look and a more upscale cabin presentation.
• Powertrain: You can find single-motor rear-wheel drive and dual-motor all-wheel drive setups, with standard-range and extended-range battery packs. Output varies widely, so make sure the configuration matches your range and performance needs.
• Safety package: Co-Pilot360 Assist 2.0 is standard and includes adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, automatic emergency braking, and other features. BlueCruise is also part of the package, but availability can vary by trim, so confirm what is fitted on the specific vehicle.
• Infotainment: The Mach-E uses a 15.5-inch portrait touchscreen with Sync 4A, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, over-the-air updates, and wireless smartphone charging.
• Range & charging: The Premium trim offers up to 500 kilometres of driving range, and the California Route 1 is rated at 502 kilometres. Check the usable battery capacity and DC fast-charge performance on the exact vehicle you are considering, since those details matter a lot on a used EV.
• Battery health: Ask for battery state-of-health information, review charging habits, and favour vehicles that have spent most of their life on normal home charging rather than repeated DC fast charging. Also check how much of the battery warranty remains.

Which 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E trim should I buy?

The 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E is offered in 4 trim levels: Select, Premium, California Route 1, GT.

Here's the short version:

• Select: This is the entry point, so it makes sense if you want the Mach-E experience at the lowest price. Just be aware that some of the nicer comfort and convenience features are reserved for higher trims.
• Premium: This is the best-value choice for most shoppers because it adds a more complete mix of comfort, technology, and range. It also benefits from the broader feature set that makes the Mach-E feel more upscale.
• California Route 1: Choose this if maximum range is your priority and you want the all-wheel-drive setup that comes with it.
• GT: Pick this if you want the most distinctive styling and the strongest performance character in the lineup.

Safety equipment is broadly strong across the range, but you should confirm BlueCruise and surround-view camera availability on the specific trim you are considering.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E?

This looks like a moderate market for selective buyers, so it rewards comparison shopping.

• Deal availability: 25.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 181 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.23% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $33,987 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E's resale value?

The current average of $35,798 CAD sits slightly below last year's $38,175 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the market has become a bit more favourable for buyers, but it also means sellers may need to be realistic on asking price. If you plan to sell later, the current trend implies you should expect some pressure on resale unless your vehicle is especially well equipped or exceptionally clean.

The good news is that strong owner satisfaction can help support demand when it is time to move on. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E safe?

The 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E earns a Top Safety Pick rating from IIHS and five-star ratings for side-impact protection and rollover resistance from NHTSA.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Ford Co-Pilot360 Assist 2.0 is standard across the lineup and includes adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, automatic emergency braking, and other driver-assistance features. BlueCruise hands-free highway driving is also part of the package, with availability varying by trim, so you should verify the exact equipment on the vehicle you are considering.

One caveat is that NHTSA frontal-impact results were unavailable at the time of review, so you should keep an eye out for updates if that matters to you.

Should I buy a 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 25.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.23% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• Ford has added an enhanced version of BlueCruise for this year.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $40,887 CAD, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $35,798 CAD average.
• Ford adds a new Rally trim and further improves the lineup.

The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2023 is the smarter buy because pricing has eased and owner satisfaction is strong. If you are willing to spend more for the newer model year and its added upgrades, the 2024 is worth a look; otherwise, the 2023 gives you the core Mach-E experience at a more attractive price.
