How much does the 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E cost?

Is the 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E earns a 5/5 user rating and an 8.5/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, and Safety.

Owners consistently praise its impressive performance, stylish design, and advanced technology. They also like the all-wheel-drive capability and quiet, smooth ride. In use, it suits you well if you want an EV that feels polished, comfortable, and genuinely enjoyable to drive.

The trade-offs are that the range is still viewed as unimpressive, the ride can be choppy, and some features are slower to access than you might expect. Even so, the market shows 31.0% of listings as good or great deals, which helps offset some of the pricing concerns.

Is the 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback points to a vehicle that feels dependable, trouble-free, and easy to live with over time. The expert evaluation also highlights the Mach-E’s solid overall execution and the confidence that comes from its well-sorted electric drivetrain.

Ford’s BlueCruise and other systems add convenience, and the model’s standard maintenance coverage can help reduce early ownership friction. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about basic dependability and more about whether the battery, software, and charging behaviour have been well cared for.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Select is the base model, while Premium, California Route 1, and GT add more equipment and character. The base trim is the one most likely to leave you wanting more standard convenience and appearance features.
• Powertrain: You can find single-motor rear-wheel drive and dual-motor all-wheel drive setups, with standard-range and extended-range battery packs. Output varies widely, so make sure the configuration matches how you plan to drive.
• Safety package: Co-Pilot360 Assist 2.0 is standard and includes adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, automatic emergency braking, and other features. BlueCruise is part of the package, but availability can vary by trim, so confirm what is actually fitted.
• Infotainment: The cabin uses a 15.5-inch portrait touchscreen with Sync 4A, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, over-the-air updates, and wireless smartphone charging.
• Range & charging: The Premium trim level offers up to 500 kilometres of driving range, and the California Route 1 is estimated at 502 kilometres. The usable battery capacity and DC fast-charge time are not specified here, so verify those details on the exact vehicle you are considering.
• Battery health: Check battery state-of-health, ask how the vehicle was typically charged at home versus on DC fast chargers, and confirm how much of the battery warranty remains.

Which 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E trim should I buy?

The 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E is offered in 4 trim levels: Select, Premium, California Route 1, and GT.

Here's the short version:

• Select: This is the entry point, so it makes sense if you want the Mach-E experience at the lowest starting price. It is the trim most likely to feel lightest on extras, so check carefully for the features you want.
• Premium: This is the best-value choice for many shoppers because it adds a more upscale feel and is the trim most clearly tied to the stronger range story in this model year.
• California Route 1: Choose this if you want the longest-range, road-trip-friendly version and are comfortable with its all-wheel-drive-only setup.
• GT: Pick this if you want the most performance-focused Mach-E, with the strongest output and the most aggressive character.

Co-Pilot360 Assist 2.0 is standard across the lineup, while BlueCruise availability can vary by trim, so confirm the exact equipment on the vehicle you are shopping.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so it rewards comparison shopping.

• Deal availability: 31.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 174 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.38% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $33,986 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E's resale value?

The current average of $35,658 CAD sits slightly below last year's $38,088 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the market has become a bit more buyer-friendly, which can make it harder for a future seller to command top dollar immediately. At the same time, the current range still shows healthy demand for well-kept examples, especially if they are equipped and priced competitively.

Strong owner satisfaction can help support resale strength over time, particularly for a model that already has broad appeal among EV shoppers. If you maintain the vehicle well and keep the battery and software in good shape, you should be in a better position when it is time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E safe?

The 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E earns a Top Safety Pick rating from the IIHS and five-star ratings for side-impact protection and rollover resistance from NHTSA.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Ford Co-Pilot360 Assist 2.0 is standard across the lineup and includes adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, automatic emergency braking, and other driver-assistance features. BlueCruise is also part of the safety story, with version 1.2 adding lane-change support, predictive speed assist, and lane repositioning to give adjacent traffic more space.

One caveat is that the NHTSA frontal-impact results were not finalised in the source material, so you should verify the latest crash-test status if that matters to you.

Should I buy a 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 31.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.38% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• Expert or safety highlight specific to this year from the source material: BlueCruise 1.2 adds lane-change support and predictive speed assist.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $40,822 CAD, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $35,658 CAD average.
• It adds a new Rally trim and broader updates.

The bottom line: If you want the better-value buy, the 2023 is the smarter starting point because it already brings strong tech, safety, and owner satisfaction at a lower average price. If you are willing to spend more for the newer model year and its added updates, the 2024 is the better choice for you.
