That upward move suggests the market has been willing to pay more for this model year, which is a positive sign if you plan to sell later. It also means you may have less room for a steep bargain than you would with a softer-used market. If demand stays steady, the truck’s current pricing pattern should help support resale strength over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Ford F-150 Lightning or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 30.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices are up 3.35% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 4.4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $56,966 CAD, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $59,133 CAD average.
• It offers a rare, mainstream electric truck with broad appeal.

The bottom line: Choose the 2023 if you want the stronger current-market benchmark and are comfortable paying a bit more for a well-liked electric pickup. If you are more price-sensitive, the 2022 is the better value path because it delivers much of the same core appeal for less money.
