Used 2023 Dodge Challenger for Sale nearQuebec, QC

How much does the 2023 Dodge Challenger cost?

Prices have softened 21.24% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 128 listings available, which gives you a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Dodge Challenger a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Dodge Challenger earns a 4.8/5 user rating and a 7.17/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Performance at 10/10.

Owners consistently praise its powerful performance, fun driving experience, and strong value, while also appreciating the ample legroom and trunk space. For buyers who want a dramatic, traditional performance car with comfortable driving manners and easy-to-use technology, that combination fits the Challenger’s old-school muscle-car brief well.

The trade-offs are clear: fuel economy is poor, the technology is outdated, and advanced safety features are not standard. Even so, the market shows 28.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are still some attractive opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2023 Dodge Challenger reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a car that feels dependable in the ways that matter to shoppers who want a muscle car they can count on, with strong value and a satisfying ownership experience. On the road, the Challenger’s age shows up less in durability than in its old-school character, but the overall package still comes across as one you can live with over the long term.

The expert assessment also supports that impression, noting that the Challenger has held up remarkably well considering its age. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about complexity and more about accepting the costs and compromises that come with a high-output performance car.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Dodge Challenger?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Black Ghost is the standout special edition here, with exclusive retro detailing, premium Laguna semi-aniline leather upholstery, simulated suede on the steering wheel and headliner, genuine carbon fibre trim, and a more luxurious cabin presentation than the standard car. It suits you best if you want the most distinctive farewell-year version and are willing to pay for rarity and appearance.
• Powertrain: The Black Ghost uses a supercharged 6.2-litre V8 with 807 hp and 707 lb-ft of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. It delivers huge straight-line performance, but it also comes with the fuel-thirst and noise you’d expect from a high-output muscle car.
• Safety package: The Black Ghost includes a low-resolution reversing camera, rear parking sensors, automatic high-beam headlights, and blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert. Forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, and adaptive cruise control are unavailable on this trim.
• Infotainment: You get an 8.4-inch Uconnect touchscreen, wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth streaming audio, a one-year SiriusXM trial, navigation, and a Harman Kardon premium sound system. The interface is intuitive, but the voice recognition system is showing its age.
• Fuel efficiency: Fuel consumption is up to 15.4 L/100 km in combined driving, and the testing loop returned 15 L/100 km. That is a major ownership cost to factor in if you plan to drive the car regularly.

Which 2023 Dodge Challenger trim should I buy?

The 2023 Dodge Challenger is offered in 1 trim level: Black Ghost.

Here's the short version:

• Black Ghost: This is the trim to choose if you want the most exclusive farewell-year Challenger and value the retro-themed appearance, premium cabin materials, and 807-hp supercharged V8 above all else. It is the clear pick for collectors and buyers who want the most dramatic version of the car, but it is also the least practical choice if you want modern safety tech or lower running costs.

The safety package is limited, and advanced driver-assistance features are not standard on this trim.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Dodge Challenger?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient.

• Deal availability: 28.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 128 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 21.24% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $56,493 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Dodge Challenger's resale value?

The current average of $57,321 CAD sits slightly below last year's $72,783 CAD.

That drop suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the car more appealing to used buyers but less favourable for sellers trying to maximise return. If you own one, the current pricing trend means you may need to be realistic about what the market will pay, especially if your car is not a rare or especially well-kept example.

The Challenger’s final-year status and special-edition appeal can help support demand, but the broader trend still points to softer pricing than a year ago. For a future seller, that means condition, mileage, and trim rarity will matter more than ever when it comes time to list.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Dodge Challenger safe?

The 2023 Dodge Challenger earns favourable IIHS ratings only in two outdated frontal- and side-impact tests, and the NHTSA gives the car high marks.

It earns a 3/10 safety score from our experts.

The Challenger’s safety equipment is limited, especially on the Black Ghost, where you get a low-resolution reversing camera, rear parking sensors, automatic high-beam headlights, and blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert. Forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, and adaptive cruise control are unavailable, so you do not get the kind of standard safety net many newer cars provide.

That means you should treat this as a car where driver attention matters more than electronic assistance. If safety tech is a priority, this is one of the Challenger’s biggest compromises.

Should I buy a 2023 Dodge Challenger or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 28.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 21.24% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It is the final-year Challenger, with special-edition “Last Call” models and the rare Black Ghost giving it extra collector appeal.

The bottom line:

If you want the most distinctive and emotionally appealing version of the Challenger, the 2023 model year is the one to target. If your priority is simply getting the lowest possible price, you may want to compare listings carefully and focus on the best-conditioned example rather than chasing a specific year alone.
