Used 2023 Dodge Challenger for Sale nearLaval, QC

How much does the 2023 Dodge Challenger cost?

Prices have softened 19.84% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 138 listings available, which suggests a decent amount of inventory for you to compare.

Is the 2023 Dodge Challenger a good car?

Yes — 4.8/5 is a strong user rating for the 2023 Dodge Challenger, and the expert score is 7.2/10. The standout strength is Performance at 10/10.

Owners consistently praise the powerful performance, fun driving experience, and strong value. They also highlight the ample legroom and trunk space, which helps the car work better as a daily driver than its muscle-car image might suggest.

The main trade-offs are rear seat usability and headroom with the sunroof option. The Challenger also fits the use case of a dramatic, traditional performance car that prioritises horsepower and style over fuel economy.

With 29.0% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Dodge Challenger reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a car that feels dependable in the ways that matter to enthusiasts: strong performance, enjoyable day-to-day use, and value that keeps buyers feeling good about the purchase over time. The expert assessment also suggests the Challenger has held up remarkably well considering its age.

That said, used buyers should still pay close attention to maintenance history and overall condition, since long-term ownership risk is tied more to how the car was driven and cared for than to the model’s basic appeal.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Dodge Challenger?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Black Ghost is the standout special edition here, with Pitch Black paint, white rear fender graphics, a “gator skin” roof graphic, chrome exterior details, and retro-inspired touches that set it apart from the rest of the lineup. It also adds premium Laguna semi-aniline leather upholstery, simulated suede, and genuine carbon fibre trim, but the cabin still mixes those materials with inexpensive plastic. The base rear-wheel-drive SXT sits at the opposite end of the range and is the most affordable entry point.
• Powertrain: The Black Ghost uses a supercharged 6.2-litre V8 with 807 hp and 707 lb-ft of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The Challenger’s character is all about relentless power, and the expert notes that it feels large and a little less in charge than some rivals on narrow, twisty roads.
• Safety package: The Black Ghost includes a low-resolution reversing camera, rear parking sensors, automatic high-beam headlights, and blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert. Forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, and adaptive cruise control are unavailable on the SRT Hellcat Redeye and, by extension, the Black Ghost.
• Infotainment: The Black Ghost gets an 8.4-inch Uconnect 4 touchscreen, wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth streaming audio, a navigation system, and a Harman Kardon premium sound system. The interface is intuitive, but the voice recognition system is showing its age.
• Fuel efficiency: Fuel economy is up to 15.4 litres per 100 kilometres in combined driving, and the expert testing loop returned 15 L/100 km.

Which 2023 Dodge Challenger trim should I buy?

The 2023 Dodge Challenger is offered in 2 trim levels: SXT and Black Ghost.

Here's the short version:

• SXT: This is the entry point if you want the Challenger’s styling and presence at the lowest price in the lineup. It makes the most sense if you care more about getting into the model than chasing the most extreme performance or special-edition content.
• Black Ghost: This is the clear choice if you want the most distinctive and most powerful version described here. It adds the special-edition styling, premium interior materials, 8.4-inch Uconnect system, navigation, Harman Kardon audio, and the full Hellcat Redeye experience. It is the best fit if you want the most memorable Challenger and are willing to pay for it.

Safety content notes that advanced driver-assistance features are limited, and forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, and adaptive cruise control are not available on the SRT Hellcat Redeye and Black Ghost.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Dodge Challenger?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient.

• Deal availability: 29.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 138 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 19.84% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $56,523 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Dodge Challenger's resale value?

The current average of $56,582 CAD sits slightly below last year's $70,589 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the car more approachable for you as a buyer today. For a future seller, it means there may be less upside than there was a year ago unless the vehicle is especially well kept or unusually desirable.

Even so, the Challenger’s final-year status and special-edition appeal can help support demand among enthusiasts. Strong owner satisfaction also tends to keep interest alive when it is time to resell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Dodge Challenger safe?

The 2023 Dodge Challenger earns favourable IIHS ratings only in two outdated frontal- and side-impact tests.

It earns a 3/10 safety score from our experts.

The safety equipment on the Black Ghost is limited to traction and stability control, a low-resolution reversing camera, rear parking sensors, automatic high-beam headlights, and blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert. Forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, and adaptive cruise control are unavailable on the SRT Hellcat Redeye and, by extension, the Black Ghost.

That limited safety package is the main caution for used buyers. If safety tech matters to you, this is a model where you should be especially selective about how you plan to use it.

Should I buy a 2023 Dodge Challenger or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 29.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 19.84% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2023 stands out as a final-year, “Last Call” Challenger with special-edition appeal and the most power the model has offered.

The bottom line: If you want the most distinctive Challenger experience and value the farewell-year special editions, the 2023 is the one to target. If you are more price-sensitive, you can still shop carefully and look for a well-priced example, but the 2023 makes the most sense when the final-year character matters to you.
