How much does the 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD cost?

Prices have softened 5.81% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 275 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD a good car?

Yes — the 4.8/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction for this heavy-duty truck.

The 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD is aimed at you if you need serious capability without giving up everyday usability. It offers a broad range of equipment, multiple cab and bed configurations, and useful trailering hardware, while still including comfort and convenience features that make it easier to live with than a bare-bones work truck. Its size and fuel consumption are the main trade-offs, but if you want a heavy-duty pickup with a strong feature set, it fits that brief well.

33.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there is still meaningful market choice.

Is the 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD is built around a fully boxed frame made from seven different types of steel, and Chevrolet says it is 20% stiffer than before. That foundation supports the truck’s work-focused mission, while the cabin and equipment list show that it is designed to handle daily use as well as towing and hauling. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that a heavy-duty truck’s size and operating costs can be harder to live with if you do not regularly need its capability.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 33.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 275 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.81% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $58,886 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD's resale value?

The current average of $61,393 CAD sits slightly below last year's $65,180 CAD.

That softer pricing can work in your favour if you are buying now, but it also means a future seller may need to be realistic about expectations. If the market stays near this range, resale value should remain supported by the truck’s capability and broad appeal to heavy-duty buyers. A well-equipped example with the right configuration should be easier to move than a less desirable one.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 33.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.81% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $68,519 CAD, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $61,393 CAD average.
• It adds a refreshed look and a new off-road trim.

The bottom line: Choose the 2023 if you want strong capability and better value today. If you are willing to pay more for the newer refresh and added off-road appeal, the 2024 is the better alternative; otherwise, the 2023 is the smarter buy for price-sensitive shoppers.
