Used 2023 Cadillac XT5 for Sale nearOttawa, ON

How much does the 2023 Cadillac XT5 cost?

Prices have softened 11.78% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 105 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Cadillac XT5 a good car?

Yes — it earns a 4.9/5 user rating and a 6.3/10 expert rating. The model scores 7/10 across Form and function, Technology, and Safety.

Owners consistently praise its beautiful design, comfort, spacious interior, and smooth driving experience. That lines up well with the XT5’s appeal as a premium crossover for you if you want comfort, presence, and value more than outright driving excitement.

The trade-offs are clear: the ride can feel harsh on some trims, the interior is ageing, and performance is fairly pedestrian. Even so, the XT5 still makes sense if you want a roomy luxury SUV that feels easy to live with rather than especially sporty.

With 34.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, there’s a decent amount of value-oriented inventory to consider.

Is the 2023 Cadillac XT5 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.9/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Drivers describe it as comfortable, smooth, and well equipped, with a reputation that suggests you can count on it for everyday use. The expert assessment also points to a straightforward, intuitive cabin and a powertrain that is broadly competent, which supports the impression of dependable ownership.

Cadillac also notes that the XT5’s standard maintenance coverage includes the first scheduled maintenance visit on the house.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about outright failure and more about whether you’re comfortable with an ageing interior and the possibility of higher repair exposure as the vehicle ages.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Cadillac XT5?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The XT5’s cabin is intuitively laid out and offers good space across both rows, but the interior can feel dated and less memorable than some rivals. Base versions use synthetic leather upholstery, while upper trims add genuine leather, heated rear seats, and a heated steering wheel.
• Powertrain: You get a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder with 235 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, paired with a nine-speed automatic and either FWD or AWD. There’s also an available V6 with 310 hp and 271 lb-ft of torque, which is the better fit if you want stronger all-round performance.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes automatic emergency braking, forward collision alert, front and rear parking sensors, following distance indicator, lane-keep assist with lane-departure warning, front pedestrian braking, a vibrating safety alert seat, and a rear-seat reminder. Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, automatic park assist, and other features are available on higher trims. Cadillac also offers a Driver Assist Package with adaptive cruise control, automatic seatbelt tightening during emergency braking, enhanced automatic emergency braking, and reverse automatic braking.
• Infotainment: The XT5 uses an 8-inch touchscreen with Bluetooth, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, a rotary controller, voice control, dual-zone climate controls, and available Bose premium audio with 14 speakers, wireless charging, and navigation.
• Fuel efficiency: The turbo-four with FWD is rated at 10.9 L/100 km in city driving, 8.2 L/100 km on the highway, and 9.7 L/100 km combined. The V6 with AWD is rated at 13.1/9.5/11.5 L/100 km city/highway/combined.

Which 2023 Cadillac XT5 trim should I buy?

The 2023 Cadillac XT5 is offered in 3 trim levels: Luxury, Premium Luxury, Sport.

Here's the short version:

• Luxury: This is the entry point, and it gives you the XT5’s core strengths: a spacious cabin, intuitive controls, and strong value relative to the luxury-SUV field. It makes the most sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the model and are comfortable with the base feature set.
• Premium Luxury: This is the best-value choice for most shoppers because it adds many desirable features without pushing the XT5 into the Sport trim’s higher pricing. If you want the most balanced mix of comfort, equipment, and price, this is the trim to target.
• Sport: Choose this if you want the V6-equipped XT5 and the more performance-oriented trim character. It is the priciest route, so it suits you best if stronger power matters more than value.

Safety equipment is strongest on higher trims, where blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, automatic park assist, and the Driver Assist Package become available.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Cadillac XT5?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory to shop carefully and enough price movement to create opportunities.

• Deal availability: 34.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 105 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.78% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $37,542 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Cadillac XT5's resale value?

The current average of $37,542 CAD sits slightly below last year's $42,557 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the XT5 is currently more buyer-friendly than it was a year ago, which can work against a future seller if the market stays competitive. If you buy now, you may be entering at a relatively favourable point, but resale gains are likely to depend on how well the vehicle holds its appeal over time.

The XT5’s strong owner satisfaction helps support demand, especially for shoppers who value comfort, space, and a premium badge. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Cadillac XT5 safe?

The 2023 Cadillac XT5’s last full crash-test results came from the 2021 model, which earned top “Good” scores in all crash test areas but missed a Top Safety Pick award from IIHS.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety tech includes automatic emergency braking, forward collision alert, front and rear parking sensors, following distance indicator, lane-keep assist with lane-departure warning, front pedestrian braking, a vibrating safety alert seat, and a rear-seat reminder. Higher trims can add blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, automatic park assist, and other features, while the Driver Assist Package adds adaptive cruise control, automatic seatbelt tightening during emergency braking, enhanced automatic emergency braking, and reverse automatic braking.

One caveat is that IIHS also gave the XT5 a “Marginal” score for its headlights, and testers noted that the car seat anchors were located near other hardware that could be confused for the anchor points.

Should I buy a 2023 Cadillac XT5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 34.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.78% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It offers plenty of luxury-SUV experience for less money and fuss than many rivals.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $33,362 CAD, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $37,542 CAD average.
• It carries over with minimal changes and leans toward comfort and equipment.

The bottom line: If you want the best mix of current pricing, strong owner satisfaction, and broad appeal, the 2023 is the better default choice. If your priority is saving money up front and you’re comfortable with a similar overall formula, the 2022 is the value-first alternative.
