The current average of $45,644 CAD sits slightly below last year's $50,436 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy in at a more favourable point, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays under pressure. If you plan to sell later, the current trend suggests you should focus on condition, mileage, and documentation to protect value. Should I buy a 2023 Cadillac LYRIQ or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 28.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.50% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $49,314 CAD, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $45,644 CAD average.
• The 2024 brings a more upscale interior with improved material quality and a more refined cabin.

The bottom line: Choose the 2023 if you want the lower entry price and are comfortable shopping carefully within a moderate market. Consider the 2024 if you value the newer model-year refinements and are willing to pay more for a more polished cabin.
