Used 2023 BMW 3 Series for Sale nearLondon, ON

How much does the 2023 BMW 3 Series cost?

Prices have softened 20.28% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 158 listings available, which suggests you have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 BMW 3 Series a good car?

Yes — the 2023 BMW 3 Series earns a 5/5 user rating and an 8.67/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Performance, Technology, and Safety.

It stands out as a refreshed version of BMW’s best-selling car, with sportier styling, interior design updates, and technology upgrades. You also get a driver-focused character that keeps the car engaging while aiming to stay competitive in the sports sedan segment.

The main trade-offs are that a manual transmission is not available and some interior materials feel cheap. That means you’re getting a polished, modern sports sedan, but not one that fully caters to traditional enthusiast priorities or the most upscale cabin finish.

With 29.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, there’s a decent amount of market value to be found if you shop carefully.

Is the 2023 BMW 3 Series reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2023 BMW 3 Series is presented as a refined, driver-focused sedan with a quiet cabin and great ride quality, which are both encouraging signs for everyday ownership. Its powertrains are carried over, and the car’s overall setup suggests a mature product rather than a first-year redesign.

BMW’s performance tuning also points to a well-sorted package, with the 330i described as quiet and precise in normal driving. The 3 Series also includes features aimed at reducing day-to-day hassle, including over-the-air updates and a voice assistant that can simplify system use.

If you buy used, the main long-term ownership risk is that premium-car upkeep can be costly, so a complete service history matters.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 BMW 3 Series?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The 330i is the entry point, while the M340i adds more aggressive styling cues and stronger performance. The base setup already includes standard 18-inch wheels, but some desirable equipment is reserved for higher trims or packages.
• Powertrain: The 330i uses a twin-turbo 2.0-litre four-cylinder, the 330e adds electric assist, and the M340i uses a twin-turbo 3.0-litre inline-six. All use an eight-speed automatic, and xDrive is standard on most models in Canada.
• Safety package: Active Guard is standard and includes frontal collision warning plus automatic city collision mitigation and braking. The Advanced Driver Assistance Package adds active blind spot detection, lane-departure warning, park-distance control, pedestrian and frontal collision warnings, Traffic Jam Assistant, and Driving Assistant Professional.
• Infotainment: You get BMW iDrive 8 with a 27.2-inch curved display made up of a 12.3-inch driver display and a 14.9-inch touchscreen. Wireless device charging is available, and over-the-air updates are standard.
• Fuel efficiency: The 330i xDrive is rated at 9.8 L/100 km city, 7.0 highway, and 8.6 combined. The 330e is rated at 8.8 L/100 km on gas and 3.2 Le/100 km combined in electric mode, while the M340i is rated at 10.3 L/100 km city, 7.4 highway, and 9.0 combined.

Which 2023 BMW 3 Series trim should I buy?

The 2023 BMW 3 Series is offered in 3 trim levels: 330i, 330e, and M340i.

Here's the short version:

• 330i: This is the best-value choice if you want the core 3 Series experience with the refreshed styling, iDrive 8, and the standard driver-focused cabin. It gives you the essential luxury-sedan formula without stepping into the pricier performance trims.
• 330e: Choose this if you want plug-in hybrid capability and the ability to drive up to 35 kilometres on electric power. It also helps if you want a lower starting price than the M340i and the added efficiency of electrified driving.
• M340i: Pick this if you want the strongest performance in the lineup, with the inline-six, 382 hp, and quicker acceleration. It suits you best if you care more about speed and response than keeping costs down.

The Advanced Driver Assistance Package adds the most comprehensive safety and driver-assistance content, so it’s worth prioritising if you want the fullest protection and convenience set.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 BMW 3 Series?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 29.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 158 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 20.28% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $40,148 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 BMW 3 Series's resale value?

The current average of $40,148 CAD sits slightly below last year's $50,360 CAD.

That drop suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer today but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, the softer pricing means you should expect more competition from similarly equipped listings.

The good news is that the 3 Series still has strong appeal as a polished, well-equipped sports sedan. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 BMW 3 Series safe?

The 2023 BMW 3 Series has been awarded a five-star crash safety rating from NHTSA.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes a rear view camera, LED headlights, LED daytime running lights, BMW Assist eCall, Active Guard with frontal collision warning and automatic city collision mitigation and braking, and the Active Protection System with automatic seat belt pretensioners, automatic window and moonroof closing, post-crash braking, and fatigue/focus alert.

For more advanced protection, the Advanced Driver Assistance Package adds active blind spot detection, lane-departure warning, park-distance control, pedestrian and frontal collision warnings, Traffic Jam Assistant, and Driving Assistant Professional with adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, lane-change assist, emergency stop assistant, and evasion aid.

Should I buy a 2023 BMW 3 Series or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 29.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 20.28% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• BMW’s mid-cycle refresh brings sleeker styling, an updated driver-oriented cockpit, and more technology.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $34,974 CAD, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $40,148 CAD average.
• It remains a benchmark-style luxury sports sedan with an evolutionary design and a restrained appearance.

The bottom line: Choose the 2023 if you want the refreshed styling, updated cabin, and stronger tech story. If your priority is saving money, the 2022 is the better value play because it keeps the core 3 Series formula at a lower price.
