How much does the 2022 Toyota Venza cost?

Prices have softened 10.41% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 94 listings available, which suggests you have some room to compare options.

Is the 2022 Toyota Venza a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Toyota Venza earns a 4.71/5 user rating and an 8.5/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, and Safety.

Owners repeatedly praise its comfort, quiet ride, and fuel efficiency, and many also like its upscale feel and smooth driving experience. The Venza’s standard all-wheel drive and hybrid setup make it especially appealing if you want efficiency without giving up all-weather traction.

The main trade-offs are its limited cargo space and technology that can feel unintuitive. Even so, it fits well if you want a refined two-row SUV with a premium lean rather than maximum practicality.

With 27.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still a decent amount of value in the market.

Is the 2022 Toyota Venza reliable?

Owners rate it 4.71/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with many owners highlighting the Venza’s fuel efficiency and comfort over the long term. The hybrid system is described as transparent in operation and requires no special attention to work, which supports confidence for everyday use.

Toyota’s hybrid setup is presented as well proven, and the platform-sharing approach is framed as a benefit for parts availability and service familiarity. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about mechanical complexity and more about whether the Venza’s limited cargo space and tech quirks suit your needs.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Toyota Venza?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LE is the most basic version, while the XLE and Limited add more comfort and convenience equipment. The base trim uses an 8-inch touchscreen and a 5-inch instrument display, while higher trims move to a 12.3-inch touchscreen and a 7-inch instrument display. If you want the most complete feature set, the Limited is the one to target.
• Powertrain: You get a 2.5-litre inline four-cylinder hybrid system with three electric motors and 219 horsepower combined. Standard all-wheel drive comes from rear-axle electric motors, and the Venza offers EV operation for short distances along with Normal, Eco, and Sport drive modes.
• Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 is standard and includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, daytime bicycle detection, adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning with steering assist, automatic high beams, lane tracing assist, and road-sign assist. Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is also standard on all trim levels, while XLE and Limited add front and rear parking assist with automated braking.
• Infotainment: The LE gets an 8-inch touchscreen with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, SiriusXM, and six speakers. XLE and Limited add a 12.3-inch touchscreen, navigation, a nine-speaker JBL audio system, and connected services.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada estimates fuel consumption as low as 5.9 L/100 km in city driving, 6.4 on the highway, and 6.1 combined.

Which 2022 Toyota Venza trim should I buy?

The 2022 Toyota Venza is offered in 3 trim levels: LE, XLE, Limited.

Here's the short version:

• LE: This is the value-focused choice if you want the Venza’s standard hybrid powertrain, all-wheel drive, and safety equipment without paying for extras. It still includes the 8-inch touchscreen, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, SiriusXM, and a power liftgate.
• XLE: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds a more upscale feel with pushbutton start, keyless entry, a heated steering wheel, SofTex upholstery, the larger 12.3-inch touchscreen, JBL audio, and navigation.
• Limited: Choose this if you want the most premium Venza experience. It adds a head-up display, rain-sensing wipers, a digital rearview mirror, LED fog lamps, a rear camera washer, and a surround-view camera.

Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is standard across the lineup, while front and rear parking assist with automated braking is reserved for the XLE and Limited.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Toyota Venza?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so it makes sense to compare listings carefully and move quickly on strong examples.

• Deal availability: 27.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 94 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.41% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $34,389 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Toyota Venza's resale value?

The current average of $34,389 CAD sits slightly below last year's $38,385 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Venza has become more accessible for used buyers, which can help keep demand steady if you decide to sell later. A softer market today can also mean less upside for short-term appreciation, but it may improve your chances of buying at a more reasonable entry point.

Because the Venza combines strong owner satisfaction with standard all-wheel drive and hybrid efficiency, it should remain appealing to shoppers who value those traits. That kind of broad appeal can support resale value over time, especially if your vehicle is well maintained and lightly worn.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.71/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Toyota Venza safe?

The 2022 Toyota Venza received a Top Safety Pick rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) and earns five-star ratings from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 is standard and includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, daytime bicycle detection, adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning with steering assist, automatic high beams, lane tracing assist, and road-sign assist. Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is also standard on all trim levels.

XLE and Limited models add front and rear parking assist with automated braking, while the Limited also gets LED fog lamps, a rear camera washer, and a surround-view camera. That means the base trim is already well equipped, but higher trims add useful parking and visibility aids.

Should I buy a 2022 Toyota Venza or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 27.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.41% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.71/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It combines standard all-wheel drive with a hybrid powertrain and strong safety equipment.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $32,214 CAD, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $34,389 CAD average.
• It offers a more upscale feel with standard hybrid power and all-wheel drive.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $40,480 CAD, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $34,389 CAD average.
• It sharpens the styling and keeps the fuel-efficient, comfort-focused formula.

The bottom line: The 2022 is the best all-around pick if you want the strongest balance of price, efficiency, safety, and owner satisfaction. If your priority is saving money, the 2021 is the better value; if you want a newer model and are willing to pay more, the 2023 is the natural upgrade path.
