Used 2022 Toyota Sienna for Sale nearRichmond Hill, ON

How much does the 2022 Toyota Sienna cost?

Prices have softened 7.95% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 115 listings available, which suggests a decent amount of inventory for shoppers comparing prices and trims.

Is the 2022 Toyota Sienna a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Toyota Sienna earns a 4.8/5 user rating and an 8.7/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, Technology, and Safety.

It stands out as a hybrid-only minivan with a standard hybrid powertrain, and it keeps the same successful formula from the previous year. That makes it a strong fit if you want family practicality and efficiency in one package, especially if you value a familiar, proven setup over a major redesign.

The market also shows 27.0% of listings as good or great deals, which points to a reasonably favourable shopping environment.

Is the 2022 Toyota Sienna reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2022 Sienna’s reliability case is built around continuity: it carries over unchanged from the previous model year, and its hybrid powertrain returns without major changes. That kind of carryover can be reassuring if you want a used minivan with a well-established formula rather than a first-year redesign.

Toyota also backs the hybrid system with a long warranty, including hybrid-related component and hybrid battery coverage, which helps reduce ownership uncertainty. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about novelty and more about making sure the hybrid system and family-use hardware have been maintained properly.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Toyota Sienna?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LE starts with 17-inch wheels, while upper trims move to 18-inch or 20-inch wheels, and the cabin adds more convenience and comfort as you move up. The XLE brings more equipment, the XSE adds a sportier presentation, and the Limited is the most upscale version with standard AWD and the richest feature set.
• Powertrain: You get a 2.5-litre four-cylinder hybrid setup with two electric motors and 243 horsepower. FWD is standard, AWD is available on all trim levels except XLE, and the Limited is AWD-only.
• Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 is standard and includes adaptive cruise control, Lane Tracing Assist lane centring, pre-collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, and automatic high beams. Blind spot monitoring and Toyota’s Star Safety System are also standard.
• Infotainment: A 9-inch touchscreen is standard, along with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, SiriusXM, one USB media port, and six USB charging ports. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are not included.
• Fuel efficiency: FWD models are rated at 6.6 L/100 km city, 6.5 L/100 km highway, and 6.6 combined, while AWD models are rated at 6.8 L/100 km city, 6.6 highway, and 6.7 combined.

Which 2022 Toyota Sienna trim should I buy?

The 2022 Toyota Sienna is offered in 4 trim levels: LE, XLE, XSE, Limited.

Here's the short version:

• LE: This is the entry point, but it still gives you the core hybrid Sienna experience, standard safety tech, and the 9-inch touchscreen. It makes sense if you want the lowest starting price and can live without the extra comfort and convenience features found higher up.
• XLE: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds more everyday convenience without jumping all the way to the top end. It also opens the door to more available equipment, making it a smart middle ground for family use.
• XSE: This trim adds a more distinctive, sportier feel and can be paired with extra tech such as the available Technology Package. It suits you if you want a more upscale or expressive Sienna without going straight to Limited.
• Limited: This is the most premium version, with standard AWD and the richest equipment list. It suits you if you want the most comfort and convenience and are willing to pay for it.

Safety package note: Toyota Safety Sense 2.0, blind spot monitoring, and Star Safety System are standard across the lineup.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Toyota Sienna?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be choosy if you’re comparing listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 27.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 115 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.95% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $45,497 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Toyota Sienna's resale value?

The current average of $47,259 CAD sits slightly below last year's $51,342 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has eased, which can help you buy more selectively now. For a future seller, it also means resale value may depend heavily on condition, mileage, and trim, since the model is no longer in a rising-price phase.

Because the Sienna is a hybrid-only minivan with strong family appeal, well-kept examples should still attract steady interest. If you maintain it carefully and keep service records, you should be in a better position when it’s time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Toyota Sienna safe?

The 2022 Sienna was a five-star vehicle according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), and the 2021 Toyota Sienna received a Top Safety Pick+ rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), with the nearly identical 2022 model expected to get the same top rating.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 is standard and includes adaptive cruise control, Lane Tracing Assist lane centring, pre-collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, and automatic high beams. Blind spot monitoring is also standard, along with Toyota’s Star Safety System, 10 airbags, and a rear-seat reminder system.

A key caveat is that the IIHS result is an expectation based on the closely related previous model year rather than a fresh 2022 test result in the source text.

Should I buy a 2022 Toyota Sienna or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 27.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.95% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It keeps the same hybrid-only formula and proven redesign carryover.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $41,550 CAD, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $47,259 CAD average.
• It introduced the all-new redesign and standard hybrid powertrain.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $50,346 CAD, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $47,259 CAD average.
• It adds more emphasis on standard safety and family practicality.

The bottom line: The 2022 is the sensible choice if you want the updated Sienna formula without paying more for the next model year. If price is your top priority, the 2021 is the better value play; if you want to spend more for a newer-year example, the 2023 is the alternative to compare.
