Drivers consistently praise its impressive performance, modern design, and eco-friendly appeal, and many also like the smooth ride and the convenience of going electric. Is the 2022 Tesla Model 3 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback also points to a car that many owners find dependable and easy to live with over time, especially because of its smooth electric driving experience and low-maintenance appeal. Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Tesla Model 3?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 23.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 477 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.20% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $30,025 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Tesla Model 3's resale value?

The current average of $31,131 CAD sits slightly below last year's $33,911 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can make the car easier to buy now but may also limit upside for a future seller if prices keep easing. Even so, the current average remains within a fairly tight annual range, which points to a relatively stable used-market position. Strong owner satisfaction can help support demand when you eventually sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Tesla Model 3 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 23.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.20% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2022 is a sensible choice if you want a well-liked Model 3 with softer pricing and a decent share of attractive listings. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years to see whether a lower entry price or a different mix of inventory better suits your budget and priorities.
