How much does the 2022 Porsche Cayenne cost?

Prices have softened 8.75% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 112 listings available, which gives you a reasonable amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2022 Porsche Cayenne a good car?

The 2022 Porsche Cayenne stands out because it blends Porsche-style performance with the practicality of a midsize SUV. It sits in a third-generation lineup that was described as more powerful, more efficient, and more advanced than its predecessors, while still keeping the familiar Cayenne character.

What makes it especially appealing is the breadth of equipment and performance on offer. The base Cayenne uses a 3.0-litre turbocharged V6 with 335 horsepower and 332 pound-feet of torque, while higher trims add more power and performance-focused hardware such as Porsche Active Suspension Management, a panoramic sunroof, and the Sport Chrono package.

There are trade-offs, though. The Cayenne was described as expensive with few standard features, limited cargo capacity, and pricey maintenance. Even so, it remains attractive if you want a luxury SUV with strong performance, a refined interior, and sturdy construction.

With 43.8% of listings priced as good or great deals, the market gives you a solid chance to find value if you shop carefully.

Is the 2022 Porsche Cayenne reliable?

The 2022 Porsche Cayenne is presented as a well-developed model in a mature third-generation lineup, with a focus on performance, refinement, and sturdy construction. It is described as more advanced than earlier versions, and the overall package is aimed at buyers who want a premium SUV that feels distinctly Porsche.

The same strengths that make it appealing also point to a more demanding ownership experience, especially because maintenance and repairs are noted as notoriously expensive. For used buyers, that means long-term ownership risk is less about basic capability and more about budgeting for higher running costs.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Porsche Cayenne?

It looks like a buyer’s market for this model year, especially if you are willing to compare listings closely and move quickly on well-priced examples.

• Deal availability: 43.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 112 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.75% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $68,200 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Porsche Cayenne's resale value?

The current average of $68,234 CAD sits slightly below last year's $74,780 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you as a buyer today but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you buy near the current average, your future resale value will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle is maintained.

Should I buy a 2022 Porsche Cayenne or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 43.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.75% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2022 is a strong choice if you want a mature Cayenne with a favourable price trend and enough inventory to compare options. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby year may be worth considering, but the 2022 gives you a good balance of current market value and the Cayenne’s core performance appeal.
