Used 2022 Nissan Sentra for Sale nearWinnipeg, MB

How much does the 2022 Nissan Sentra cost?

Prices have softened 12.55% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 278 listings available, which suggests a reasonable amount of inventory for shoppers comparing options.

Is the 2022 Nissan Sentra a good car?

Yes — it earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.67/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Safety at 9/10.

The 2022 Sentra is a well-rounded compact sedan that aims to be a competent, affordable daily driver rather than a car built around one dramatic strength. Its newer-generation feel comes from the 2020 redesign, and that helps it stay relevant in a crowded small-sedan segment. For you, that means a straightforward entry-point sedan with modern design, value, and balance.

The market also shows 29.5% of listings as good or great deals, which points to solid availability for value-focused shoppers.

Is the 2022 Nissan Sentra reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Sentra’s appeal is built around being a competent, affordable compact sedan with few obvious shortcomings. The expert assessment also points to a balanced package rather than a car that leans on one weak area to compensate for another. Its five-year/100,000-kilometre powertrain warranty adds another layer of reassurance for used buyers.

The 2.0-litre four-cylinder is described as satisfactory in both city and highway driving, with consistent performance rather than standout pace. The Sentra is also backed by a five-year/100,000-kilometre powertrain warranty, which helps reduce long-term ownership risk for used buyers.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Nissan Sentra?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base S trim gives you the essentials, including a 7-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a 4.2-inch driver’s display. The SV adds an 8-inch touchscreen, heated side mirrors with integrated turn signals, intelligent cruise control, dual-zone automatic climate control, and premium cloth, while the SR brings 18-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, remote start, sport cloth seats, and a more aggressive exterior look.
• Powertrain: Every Sentra uses a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine with 149 horsepower and 146 pound-feet of torque. In Canada, a six-speed manual is standard and a CVT is available, with the manual also offered on the SR.
• Safety package: Standard driver assistance includes forward and reverse automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, pedestrian detection, driver drowsiness monitoring, lane-departure warning, blind spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. The test vehicle also had a surround-view parking monitor and adaptive cruise control.
• Infotainment: The base model gets a 7-inch touchscreen, while the SV and SR use an 8-inch screen. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, but wireless smartphone integration is not offered.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada-rated fuel consumption is 9.2 L/100 km city, 6.2 highway, and 7.9 combined with the manual transmission, or 8.0/6.0/7.1 with the CVT. SR figures rise slightly to 9.4/6.4/8.1 with the manual and 8.2/6.1/7.3 with the CVT.

Which 2022 Nissan Sentra trim should I buy?

The 2022 Nissan Sentra is offered in 3 trim levels: S, SV, and SR.

Here's the short version:

• S: This is the value play if you want the lowest-cost way into the Sentra. You still get the 7-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus the core comfort and convenience features that make the car easy to live with.
• SV: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds the larger 8-inch touchscreen, intelligent cruise control, dual-zone automatic climate control, premium cloth, and more convenience features without jumping to the sportier SR look.
• SR: Choose this if you want the most distinctive appearance and the most upscale-feeling equipment in the lineup, including 18-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, remote start, and sport cloth seats with orange stitching.

The safety package is strong across the lineup, with standard driver-assistance features on every trim.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Nissan Sentra?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, especially if you are comparing listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 29.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 278 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.55% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $18,851 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Nissan Sentra's resale value?

The current average of $18,851 CAD sits slightly below last year's $21,555 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Sentra has become more accessible for used buyers, which can make it easier to attract interest when you eventually sell. A lower entry price today can also mean less depreciation pressure if you buy at the right number. For future resale, the key will be how well the car’s value proposition holds up against newer compact-sedan rivals.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Nissan Sentra safe?

The 2022 Nissan Sentra earns a best overall score of five out of five stars in testing by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) gave it its highest rating of "Good" across all crash testing.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes forward and reverse automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, pedestrian detection, driver drowsiness monitoring, lane-departure warning, blind spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. The test vehicle also had a surround-view parking monitor and adaptive cruise control.

One caveat is that the optional adaptive cruise control can brake abruptly when it reaches the vehicle ahead, and the lower headlight ratings kept it from earning the highest possible IIHS award.

Should I buy a 2022 Nissan Sentra or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 29.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.55% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It offers a balanced, newer-generation compact-sedan package with strong safety and value.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $17,481 CAD, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $18,851 CAD average.
• It blends style, efficiency, technology and performance into a smart, polished compact sedan.

The bottom line: If you want the better-balanced buy with stronger current-market availability, the 2022 is the cleaner choice. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2021 is the sensible alternative, especially if you find one in good condition and at a compelling price.
