Is the 2022 Nissan Murano a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Nissan Murano earns a 5/5 user rating, and its appeal is strongest if you want a comfort-first midsize SUV with a distinctly upscale feel, a cleaner and more modern cabin, and a spacious front-seat area for daily driving and longer trips. It is also well equipped, with features such as heated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, and available upgrades like a panoramic sunroof and ventilated front seats. The trade-off is that it is tuned more for comfort than engaging driving, and its cargo area is still somewhat small for the class. 31.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you a decent chance to find a competitive offer.

Is the 2022 Nissan Murano reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2022 Murano’s reliability case is helped by its comfort-focused design, broad equipment list, and safety suite that includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about outright complexity and more about making sure the vehicle has been maintained properly, especially if you plan to keep it for many years.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Nissan Murano?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still have room to negotiate.

• Deal availability: 31.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 190 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.30% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $26,612 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Nissan Murano's resale value?

The current average of $28,198 CAD sits slightly below last year's $30,092 CAD.

That softer pricing can be helpful if you are buying now, but it also means a future seller may need to price carefully to stay competitive. The Murano’s comfort-first appeal and upscale cabin help it stand out, which can support demand among shoppers who value refinement over sportiness. Because the market is already showing a lower average than a year ago, resale strength will likely depend on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle has been kept.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Nissan Murano or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 31.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.30% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2022 Murano makes the most sense if you want a comfortable, well-equipped midsize SUV and you value a softer market with decent deal availability. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may also want to compare nearby model years to see whether a lower asking price outweighs the 2022’s current market position.
