Is the 2022 Nissan Kicks a good car?

Yes — 4.86/5 is a strong user rating, and it lines up with the Kicks’ value-focused appeal. Owners consistently praise its excellent value, safety features, and enjoyable driving experience, while also highlighting the comfortable interior and impressive fuel efficiency. For you, that makes it a sensible fit if you want a practical subcompact SUV for everyday use rather than a performance-first vehicle. The owner feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, especially for shoppers who want a simple, long-term commuter. Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Nissan Kicks?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 32.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 308 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.37% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $18,388 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Nissan Kicks's resale value?

The current average of $18,755 CAD sits slightly below last year's $21,402 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can make the Kicks easier to buy now but may also temper near-term resale upside. If you plan to sell later, the current softness means your return will depend more on condition, mileage, and equipment than on broad market momentum. The good news is that strong value perception can help keep demand steady among budget-minded shoppers.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.86/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Nissan Kicks or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 32.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.37% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.86/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $17,702 CAD, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $18,755 CAD average.
• It adds more features while keeping the same easygoing appeal.

The bottom line:
Choose the 2022 if you want the stronger current-market balance of price, inventory, and owner satisfaction. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2021 is the better value play and still delivers the Kicks’ practical, easygoing character.
