Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Nissan Kicks?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

What is the 2022 Nissan Kicks's resale value?

The current average of $18,652 CAD sits slightly below last year's $20,956 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the market has become more favourable for buyers, but it also means future sellers may face some pressure if values continue to ease. If you buy at the right price now, you may reduce the risk of taking a bigger hit later. The current spread between the year-round low and high also shows there is still room for price variation depending on condition, mileage, and equipment.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Nissan Kicks or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 32.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.00% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $17,336 CAD, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $18,652 CAD average.
• It adds refreshed styling and more features.

The bottom line:
Choose the 2022 if you want the stronger current-market mix of value, inventory, and owner satisfaction. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2021 is the better price-sensitive alternative and still keeps the Kicks’ easygoing, practical appeal.
