Should I buy a 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLE or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.40% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.25/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• The year’s standout is its successful SUV-coupe formula, combining a dramatic shape with a practical GLE foundation.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $54,469 CAD, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $59,956 CAD average.
• It offers a broad, upscale luxury-SUV lineup with eight variants and brand-new Coupe models.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $67,728 CAD, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $59,956 CAD average.
• It adds a subtle refresh, updated infotainment, and a new plug-in hybrid variant.

The bottom line: The 2022 makes sense if you want the distinctive coupe body style and a softer price than newer examples. If you are more price-sensitive, the 2021 is the value play; if you want newer features and can spend more, the 2023 is the upgrade path.
