This looks like a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop patiently without assuming every listing is a bargain.

• Inventory: There are 84 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.97% compared with last year.

The current average of $29,300 CAD sits slightly below last year's $32,908 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy at a more favourable point in the cycle, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays soft. If you plan to sell later, buying well below the current average matters more than usual. Strong condition and a clean history should help you protect value.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Mercedes-Benz A-Class or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 29.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.97% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of current pricing, inventory, and owner satisfaction, the 2022 is a sensible place to focus. If your priority is stretching your budget further, you may want to compare nearby years and look for the best-priced example rather than the newest one.
