The current average of $29,717 CAD sits slightly below last year's $33,786 CAD.

That softer pricing can be helpful if you're buying now, but it also means a future seller may need to price more competitively to stand out. If market conditions stay similar, resale value will likely depend on how well the car is maintained and how attractively it is priced relative to similar listings. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Mercedes-Benz A-Class or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 30.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.05% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2022 is a sensible choice if you want a used A-Class with strong owner satisfaction and a market that has eased from last year. If your priority is stretching your budget, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on the best-priced example rather than the newest one.
