Is the 2022 Dodge Durango a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Dodge Durango earns a 4.86/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its powerful performance, smooth ride, and spacious interior, and many also like its stylish design and high-tech features. That makes it a strong fit if you want a three-row SUV with family-friendly space and a more muscular character than many rivals. Is the 2022 Dodge Durango reliable?

Owners rate it 4.86/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback points to a vehicle that many owners find dependable, with praise for its smooth ride and strong overall ownership experience. That said, the model’s broader history suggests you should pay close attention to inspection records and maintenance documentation before buying.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about day-to-day satisfaction and more about making sure the specific vehicle has been well maintained.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Dodge Durango?

This looks like a moderate market for selective buyers, so it pays to compare listings carefully and move quickly on the right one.

• Deal availability: 33.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 333 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.48% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $38,126 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Dodge Durango's resale value?

The current average of $38,549 CAD sits slightly below last year's $42,584 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy more confidently today but may also limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you purchase near the current average, future depreciation may be gentler than it was a year ago, but the recent decline still matters for your eventual trade-in or private-sale value. Strong demand for well-kept examples should help support pricing, especially for vehicles with desirable equipment and clean history.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.86/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Dodge Durango or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 33.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.48% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.86/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $33,332 CAD, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $38,549 CAD average.
• It adds the SRT Hellcat and Tow N Go Package.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $42,636 CAD, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $38,549 CAD average.
• It adds standard heated front seats and a heated steering wheel.

The bottom line: The 2022 is the best all-around choice if you want strong owner satisfaction and a market that still offers some deal opportunities. If price is your top priority, the 2021 is the better value play; if you want newer convenience features and can stretch your budget, the 2023 is the more appealing upgrade.
