Some may wax poetic about the ‘true American car’, and this is a great modern example of that ideal. The Charger is a spacious sedan that can move quickly in a straight line. But that is where its positive qualities end. The car looks like a die-cast child’s toy, and the interior is of quality of a little tike’s first kitchen (be warned you could lose your phone between panel gaps). The seats are generous in size, but rather flat and lacking in both side bolstering and degrees of adjustment. Also, for a large family hauler, the ride is pretty still. Nothing about it all befits a car with the Scat Pack’s near-$50K price tag.
