CarGurus Analysis: 2022 Chrysler Pacifica
Summary
With 24 currently listed for sale and an average price of $29,992 CAD, 33.3% of 2022 Chrysler Pacifica listings on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Favourably reviewed: Owners rated the 2022 Chrysler Pacifica 4.75 / 5 stars.
Why it stands out
The 2022 Chrysler Pacifica stands out as a minivan that blends family-friendly practicality with a more upscale feel than many shoppers expect in the segment. It offers two powertrain choices, including a 3.6-litre V6 with 287 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque, as well as a plug-in hybrid system that produces a combined 260 horsepower. The hybrid can travel up to 51 kilometres on electricity and is rated at 8.0 L/100 km combined, while the gasoline version is also available with all-wheel drive. That mix of efficiency, capability, and choice is a major part of the Pacifica’s appeal.
It is also distinctive for its flexible interior packaging. Seven-passenger seating is standard, and Chrysler’s second-row Stow ’n Go seats allow extra storage or a flat load floor, while the third row folds with a 60/40 split. The cabin can swallow a 4x8 sheet of drywall or plywood with the seats folded, and higher trims add features such as an 8.4-inch touchscreen, blind spot monitoring, a 360-degree surround-view camera system, and even an integrated vacuum. For 2021, the Pacifica gained refreshed styling, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 10.1-inch touchscreen with Uconnect 5, standard adaptive cruise control and automatic emergency braking, plus the FamCam camera system. Buyers looking for a comfortable, versatile family vehicle will appreciate those strengths, though the interior materials are described as feeling cheap, and the hybrid sacrifices some storage flexibility and does not offer all-wheel drive.

The stow away seating was a “must have” for us as we have 4 greyhounds that vacation with us and we also travel and pick up retiring racers from tracks and kennels.

I own a 2017 Pacifica Touring L and it has been a fantastic vehicle. I haven’t had any major issues with it. It is comfortable and fun to drive and gets decent fuel economy. Last but not least- it is built in Canada! I would buy another Pacifica in a heartbeat if they weren’t so expensive.

Should I buy a 2022 Chrysler Pacifica or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2022 if:
- 31.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 13.21% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 4.75/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
Consider the 2021 if:
- At $25,796 CAD, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $31,702 CAD average.
- It offers refreshed styling and updated technology.
The bottom line:
Choose the 2022 if you want the stronger current-market balance of price, owner satisfaction, and shopping flexibility. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2021 is the better value path and still delivers the Pacifica’s core family-friendly strengths.
