CarGurus Analysis: 2022 Chrysler Pacifica
Summary
With 29 currently listed for sale and an average price of $32,021 CAD, 34.5% of 2022 Chrysler Pacifica listings on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Favourably reviewed: Owners rated the 2022 Chrysler Pacifica 4.75 / 5 stars.
Why it stands out
The 2022 Chrysler Pacifica stands out as a minivan that blends family-friendly practicality with a more upscale feel than many shoppers expect in the segment. It offers two powertrain choices, including a 3.6-litre V6 with 287 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque, as well as a plug-in hybrid system that produces a combined 260 horsepower. The hybrid can travel up to 51 kilometres on electricity and is rated at 8.0 L/100 km combined, while the gasoline version is also available with all-wheel drive. That mix of efficiency, capability, and choice is a major part of the Pacifica’s appeal.
It is also distinctive for its flexible interior packaging. Seven-passenger seating is standard, and Chrysler’s second-row Stow ’n Go seats allow extra storage or a flat load floor, while the third row folds with a 60/40 split. The cabin can swallow a 4x8 sheet of drywall or plywood with the seats folded, and higher trims add features such as an 8.4-inch touchscreen, blind spot monitoring, a 360-degree surround-view camera system, and even an integrated vacuum. For 2021, the Pacifica gained refreshed styling, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 10.1-inch touchscreen with Uconnect 5, standard adaptive cruise control and automatic emergency braking, plus the FamCam camera system. Buyers looking for a comfortable, versatile family vehicle will appreciate those strengths, though the interior materials are described as feeling cheap, and the hybrid sacrifices some storage flexibility and does not offer all-wheel drive.

The stow away seating was a “must have” for us as we have 4 greyhounds that vacation with us and we also travel and pick up retiring racers from tracks and kennels.

I own a 2017 Pacifica Touring L and it has been a fantastic vehicle. I haven’t had any major issues with it. It is comfortable and fun to drive and gets decent fuel economy. Last but not least- it is built in Canada! I would buy another Pacifica in a heartbeat if they weren’t so expensive.

Yes — the 2022 Chrysler Pacifica earns a 4.75/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its smooth ride, comfortable interior, and convenient stow-away seating, and many also describe it as versatile and reliable for family and everyday use. The Pacifica’s family-friendly practicality and more upscale feel make it a strong fit if you want a minivan that balances comfort with usefulness. With 27.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, there are still worthwhile options to shop.
Is the 2022 Chrysler Pacifica reliable?
Owners rate it 4.75/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
User feedback describes the Pacifica as reliable, versatile, and suitable for families and everyday use, which is encouraging if you want something you can count on. That said, some owners mention occasional software glitches, so a careful test drive and feature check are smart before you commit.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Chrysler Pacifica?
This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay patient and compare listings carefully.
- Deal availability: 27.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 198 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 12.03% compared with last year.
If you find a listing below $31,597 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2022 Chrysler Pacifica's resale value?
The current average of $31,845 CAD sits slightly below last year's $36,198 CAD.
That price movement suggests the Pacifica has become more accessible for buyers, but it also means future sellers may need to price competitively to stand out. If you buy near the current average, you may have less room for appreciation, so condition and mileage will matter more when it comes time to resell. Strong demand from family shoppers should still help support values, especially for well-kept examples.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.75/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Should I buy a 2022 Chrysler Pacifica or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2022 if:
- 27.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 12.03% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 4.75/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
Consider the 2021 if:
- At $26,370 CAD, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $31,845 CAD average.
- It offers refreshed styling and updated technology for family use.
The bottom line: Choose the 2022 if you want the stronger current-market mix of owner satisfaction and deal availability. If your priority is stretching your budget, the 2021 is the better value path and still delivers the Pacifica’s core family-friendly strengths.
