Used 2022 Chevrolet Traverse for Sale nearLondon, ON

How much does the 2022 Chevrolet Traverse cost?

Prices have softened 16.38% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 138 listings available, which suggests you have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2022 Chevrolet Traverse a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Chevrolet Traverse earns a 4.86/5 user rating and a 7.17/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Technology at 9/10.

Owners consistently praise the spacious interior, helpful safety features, and powerful engine, while also calling out the large cargo area and comfortable seating. The Traverse also fits well if you want a practical three-row SUV that covers family duties without stepping up to a larger, truck-based full-size SUV.

The main trade-offs are a cabin that can feel cheap in places and a ride that can float too much over uneven pavement. It is also noisy, so it is best suited to shoppers who value space, usability, and approachable tech more than a plush or especially refined driving experience.

With 31.2% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is a decent amount of value-oriented inventory in the market.

Is the 2022 Chevrolet Traverse reliable?

Owners rate it 4.86/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owners describe it as dependable, spacious, and well suited to family use, with praise that points to a vehicle you can count on for everyday duties. The expert review also highlights a powertrain that feels well matched to the Traverse’s size and a drivetrain that performs well in varied conditions.

Chevrolet also includes a useful maintenance perk in the ownership experience, which helps reduce early service friction.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about outright failure and more about whether the vehicle’s comfort, noise, and material quality will meet your expectations over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Chevrolet Traverse?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base LS is the most stripped-down version, while higher trims add more convenience and safety equipment. If you want the most complete feature set, the upper trims are the ones to focus on.
• Powertrain: You get a 3.6-litre V6 with 310 horsepower and 266 pound-feet of torque paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission. It is the only engine choice, and it is tuned for everyday family use rather than maximum towing or off-road work.
• Safety package: Chevy Safety Assist is standard and includes forward-collision warning, pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, automatic high-beam headlights, and a following-distance indicator. The LS can be optioned with rear parking assist sensors, blind-spot monitoring, lane-change assist, and rear cross-traffic alert, while those features are standard on other trims.
• Infotainment: The LS gets a 7-inch touchscreen, while other versions use an 8-inch high-definition touch-sensing display. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, along with Bluetooth for two smartphones and connected services including a Wi-Fi hotspot.
• Fuel efficiency: The official Natural Resources Canada fuel economy rating is 11.8 litres per 100 kilometres in combined driving, and the test vehicle returned 11.3 L/100 km on the evaluation loop.

Which 2022 Chevrolet Traverse trim should I buy?

The 2022 Chevrolet Traverse is offered in 6 trim levels: LS, LT, True North, RS, Premier, High Country.

Here's the short version:

• LS: This is the entry point, but it is also the most basic version. It makes sense only if you are focused on keeping the purchase price down and are comfortable adding available safety equipment separately.
• LT: This is the trim to target if you want the best balance of value and equipment. It adds more of the features most shoppers will actually use, and it can be optioned with the upgraded safety content that is standard on higher trims.
• True North: This trim sits above the LT and gives you a step up in equipment without jumping all the way to the more expensive RS or luxury-oriented trims.
• RS: This is the style-forward choice, with blacked-out trim and 20-inch wheels. It also gets the Bose premium sound system and more advanced safety content, so it suits you if you want a more upscale look and feel.
• Premier: This is the better choice if you want more comfort and convenience, including the Safety Alert Seat and the upgraded digital instrumentation panel.
• High Country: This is the top-end version, aimed at buyers who want the most premium Traverse experience and the fullest safety and convenience content.

Chevy Safety Assist is standard across the lineup, while the optional Safety Package on the LS and the added driver-assistance features on higher trims are worth paying attention to when you compare listings.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Chevrolet Traverse?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so it makes sense to shop carefully and compare listings rather than rush.

• Deal availability: 31.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 138 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.38% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $33,042 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Chevrolet Traverse's resale value?

The current average of $33,149 CAD sits slightly below last year's $39,642 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Traverse has become more accessible for used buyers, which can help support demand in the near term. For a future seller, the key implication is that today’s softer pricing may limit upside if the market stays competitive. On the other hand, a roomy three-row SUV with broad family appeal can still hold attention well when it is priced right and presented cleanly.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.86/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Chevrolet Traverse safe?

The 2022 Chevrolet Traverse earns Good ratings in most IIHS categories, but Acceptable in the new side impact test and Poor for its new LED headlights and seatbelt reminders.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Chevy Safety Assist is standard on all Traverse trim levels, and it includes forward-collision warning, pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, automatic high-beam headlights, and a following-distance indicator. The LS can be equipped with a Safety Package that adds rear parking assist sensors, blind-spot monitoring, lane-change assist, and rear cross-traffic alert, while those features are standard on the other trims.

Higher trims add adaptive cruise control, higher-speed automatic emergency braking, and rear pedestrian alert, but the Traverse still does not offer a more advanced system that combines adaptive cruise control with lane-centring assist.

Should I buy a 2022 Chevrolet Traverse or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 31.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.38% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.86/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2022 stands out for its practical three-row packaging, easy-to-use technology, and broad family usefulness.

The bottom line: If you want a roomy, practical three-row SUV and you value current market softness, the 2022 is the one to focus on. If you are especially price-sensitive, you can also use the softer pricing to negotiate harder and wait for a listing near the low end of the range before buying.
