Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Chevrolet Traverse?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can afford to be choosy without waiting forever.

• Deal availability: 28.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 154 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.07% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $37,874 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Chevrolet Traverse's resale value?

The current average of $37,874 CAD sits slightly below last year's $44,073 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favourable point in the cycle. For a future seller, it also means you should expect resale value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle has been maintained. Because the model still appeals to family buyers who want space and comfort, demand should remain steady if your vehicle is clean and well cared for.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Chevrolet Traverse or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 28.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.07% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $33,149 CAD, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $37,874 CAD average.
• It offers practical space and easy-to-use tech for buyers who prioritise everyday usability.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $48,751 CAD, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $37,874 CAD average.
• It adds more standard driver aids and a larger touchscreen.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, owner satisfaction, and family-friendly practicality, the 2023 is the primary path to consider. If your budget is tighter, the 2022 is the better secondary option because it delivers the core Traverse strengths for less money. If you want newer features and can stretch your budget, the 2024 is the upgrade path to compare.
