Is the 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe earns a 4.75/5 user rating, which supports its appeal as a full-size SUV for buyers who want serious utility with a more modern cabin. Chevrolet’s redesign brought softer styling, better passenger comfort, more cargo space, and upgraded technology, while the independent rear suspension improved third-row space and comfort. It also suits you well if you want a large SUV with towing strength, family-friendly space, and a broad equipment list. With 32.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still meaningful market opportunity if you shop carefully.

Is the 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe reliable?

Owners rate it 4.75/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2022 Tahoe’s appeal comes from its refined redesign, improved interior packaging, and broad equipment list, all of which suggest a well-rounded ownership experience. Its modern cabin, stronger passenger comfort, and available technology help it feel more complete than earlier versions of the nameplate. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that it is a large, thirsty SUV, so running costs can be higher than you might expect.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay disciplined.

• Deal availability: 32.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 113 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.31% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $60,796 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe's resale value?

The current average of $62,934 CAD sits slightly below last year's $67,900 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Tahoe has softened enough to create a better entry point for you now, but it also means future sellers may need to be realistic about expectations. If you buy well today, you may have less downside risk than someone who paid closer to the prior-year average. The Tahoe’s strong market position and broad appeal should help support demand, especially for well-kept examples with desirable equipment.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.75/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 32.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.31% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.75/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $48,772 CAD, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $62,934 CAD average.
• It delivers a redesigned package with improved comfort, cargo space, and technology.

The bottom line:
Choose the 2022 if you want the stronger overall value proposition in today’s market and are willing to pay more for a newer used example with solid demand. If your priority is saving money upfront, the 2021 is the better secondary path because it offers much of the same redesign benefit at a lower price.
