Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Chevrolet Colorado?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be choosy if you shop carefully.

• Deal availability: 30.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 162 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.70% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $33,453 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Chevrolet Colorado's resale value?

The current average of $35,982 CAD sits slightly below last year's $41,696 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy more affordably now, but it also means future resale expectations should be measured rather than aggressive. If you plan to sell later, the current market suggests you may not recover as much as buyers paid a year ago. Even so, the Colorado’s strong owner satisfaction should help support demand when it is time to move on.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Chevrolet Colorado or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 30.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.70% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $43,694 CAD, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $35,982 CAD average.
• The redesign adds a crew-cab-only layout with updated tech and stronger off-road focus.

The bottom line:
Choose the 2022 if you want a more affordable Colorado with proven appeal, especially if you value a lower entry price and solid owner satisfaction. Consider the 2023 if you want the newer redesign and are willing to pay more for updated technology and a more modern truck layout.
