Is the 2022 Chevrolet Colorado a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Chevrolet Colorado earns a 4.5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction.

Drivers consistently praise its smooth performance, towing capacity, and spacious interior, and those strengths fit well with its role as a capable midsize pickup that still works for everyday use. The cabin’s family-friendly feel also comes through in owner feedback, even if some shoppers may want to weigh the tighter rear seating against the truck’s broader strengths. With 29.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have a meaningful share of the market to shop from.

Is the 2022 Chevrolet Colorado reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a truck that feels dependable in daily use, with smooth performance and enough capability to inspire confidence over time. Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Chevrolet Colorado?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 29.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 170 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.35% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $33,459 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Chevrolet Colorado's resale value?

The current average of $35,220 CAD sits slightly below last year's $40,645 CAD.

That drop suggests the market has become more favourable for buyers, but it also means future sellers may need to price competitively if they want to move quickly. The current range still leaves room for stronger resale outcomes on well-kept trucks, especially if they have desirable equipment and clean history. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Chevrolet Colorado or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 29.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.35% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $42,966 CAD, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $35,220 CAD average.
• It adds a redesigned, more modern truck package with stronger tech and capability.

The bottom line: The 2022 is the better value if you want a capable midsize truck at a lower entry price and are comfortable shopping the used market carefully. If you want the newer redesign and can stretch your budget, the 2023 is the stronger upgrade path; if price matters most, the 2022 remains the smarter buy.
